TSUNAMI DISASTER
On 26th of December, 2004 Sri Lanka was affected by an Asian Tsunami. An earthquake that happened over 1500 miles away devastated the Sri Lankan coast line claiming over 43 thousand lives, as reported by the media on 4 January 2005. Over a million people are homeless and the tragedy has left many children without one or both parents and many people without livelihoods.

Immediately we need to ensure that no one is suffering from the lack of food, pure water, medicine, shelter, clothing and the lack of schools and education for the children. The people, mostly the children, the elderly, the disabled and the displaced need to be protected, loved and cared for at a time like this.

Soon we need to help build the infrastructure, so that those who have suffered will not suffer from the worry of the same catastrophe affecting them, their children or their surroundings again.

Now is a time of world togetherness. It has begun, and we have more to do.

In this instance let us show our compassion and kindness by giving. Let us give kind thoughts to those who have and are suffering and if possible let us give by making a donation. Do not worry of the amount you can donate, if large, medium or small, the hope is, it will not only be the amount but also the many that will calm the tide.

Help by making a donation.

Thank you for your kindness. May the Noble Triple Gem Protect and Guide.
