Work Experience

• 09/2001 to present: Software engineer at Sentito Network. Rockville, MD
  Key roles:
  • Design & implement call-control software (so called Voice - Manager)
  • Design & Implement protocol handler for POT & SIP.
  • Software Integration SIP, Call control and Voice driver, and third party software (Trillium SIP stack).
  • Design & Implement supporting software for call-control software.
  • Develop & implement simulated bull-call generator software to test the integrity and stability of Call Control and all its support software.
  
  
• 05/2000 to 09/2001: consultant at TEK DigiTel Corp. Germantown, MD. - software engineer and a system/network administrator.
  
  Projects completed (chronological order):
  • Installed and programmed the PBX system for TEK DigiTel.
  • Organized servers / file structure for development.
  • Designed and implemented a comprehensive backup scheme for all company's data.
  • Ported new version of RADVision into IGATE software.
  • Updated IGATE(tm) SNMP agent - It's a MIB-I agent, allowing SNMP manager to control and monitor all the working parameters of an iGATE.
  • Designed and implemented DNS resolver - To resolve domain name addresses into IP addresses, so that Igate can use server by their domain name address.
  • Designed and implemented SNTP client - This is an accurate internet clock for the iGATE, to syncronize the time & calendar of iGATE.
  • Implemented Configuration Client for TEK's products - This is a client that enables end user to one-time activate & configure their iGATEs with only one single account number.
  • Implemented TCPDUMP support for IGATE(tm) - A tool for internet packet sniffing purpose. This tool is very useful for debugging. It captures the packet transferred through the iGATE. This information is later fed into a tool and processed. The final information is in TCPDUMP format that can be read by many decoders.
  • Designed and implemented TEK's IGATE(tm) Automated Test Tool (written in both C & VB 6.0) - One of the useful tools for TEK. DigiTel to perform the final production test before the product is shipped.
  • Fixed the NMS client - a client to report igate status to a NMS server.
  • Designed & Implemented speed dialing function using TELOGY APTM table - allow user to put frequently used number into "memory" buttons.
  • Supported the "Office Builder" product - a SOHO product that has the capability of a PBX with ordinary PSTN lines and VOIP trunk lines - involving in bug fixing, testing, assemblying, etc.
    
    (IGATE(tm) is a Voice over IP media gateway designed for SOHO access)
  
  Other roles:
  • Principal system and integration tester for the IGATE product.
  • Sole system and network administrator for TEK Digitel: MS Windows and Linux networking, Telephone, Voicemail, AutoAttendant systems.

• 1996 - 1997: Master of Engineering at the University of Technology of HCM city, Vietnam (incomplete because of relocation.)
• Bachelor of Engineering, University of Technology of Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City, Vietnam, (1991-1996.)
  Awarded first prize for the final year project: Designed and developed / built a working Numerical Control machine for automatic drilling PCB boards, involving in mechanics, electronics & software. The project was demonstrated at a Science & Technology fair in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, 1996.
