Game Rules

Tavli is actually consisted by three games that are played sequentially. In the Net Tavli game, the user may select to play one or some of these only. These three games are Portes, Plakoto and Fevga.

Portes

Portes is the Greek equivalent to Western backgammon rules. You may find extensive rules description in this link.

Plakoto

Plakoto requires more patience and strategic skills than Portes. The rules are described here.

Fevga

Fevga means "run" and it reflects a fast and well positioned play in order to get to your home quarter. Though not difficult to learn, it is the game that requires the best skills. You may find here a detailed description of the rules.
