Ornarans are identical to Terrans except they also have extra cartilage on the bridge of their nose and have an electrical charge that can be emitted from their hands at the cost of their immediate health.
During the day, E-ing can be a warm, eloquent, well-spoken 34 year-old woman. She can also be a cold, rude sardonic bitch for the hell of it. She enjoys studying Federation philosophy, art and history. At times, she will often quote from one of many of her readings to illustrate a point. She has an unconscious habit of scratching her palms when she's nervous or lying
However, her personality has been known to shift as late evening approaches, E-ing is known to have lapses in concentration, sometimes becomes withdrawn and at other times, unfeeling. She also has a nasty temper when things do not follow the status quo. This is due to her felicium deprivation.
In 2364, the Enterprise unintentionally, intercepted a dispute between the Ornarans and the Brekkans over a shipment of felicium.
The Prime Directive prohibited Picard from revealing the Brekkan's deception. The Ornarans were sent home with the felicium but Picard refused to repair their ship, making it the last shipment for many years.
As 12 years past, the Ornarans learned to survive without felicium, realising that it was a false elixir. They focused on repairing their ships and salvaging their lost technology.
E-ing was born in 2346, in a small rural village. She has three brothers, all married, and all work in a local pottery factory. Her father is a crop farmer and her mother is bed-bound, suffering joint ache and muscle spasms from a lack of felicium. This case is like so many others.
E-ing Pranom was a minor starship technician no rank, and laughable compared to Starfleet's knowledge and experience. However, having overcome most of the physical withdrawal symptoms from the narcotic, she was part of an envoy of 3 ships sent to steal Federation technology.
On one of their treks to a Federation outpost, E-ing was personally caught lifting a food replicator. During her two years of penal servitude (2376-78) at the Federation Penal Settlement in New Zealand, E-ing was given a Federation education.
On her return home, E-ing was dissappointed to discover that Ornara was still focused on attaining felicium despite the fact that they know the truth about the drug. E-ing, not wanting to see the return of her physical cravings and seeing the manic addictive behaviours of her family, she left.
Drifting from one settlement to another for the last two years and branded as a criminal, E-ing has experience attending bar in some seedy pubs much to her distaste. After being targeted for criminal coercion on New Sydney, E-ing decided to apply to work with starfleet as a civilian bartender in order to find a home.
She was posted on the USS Apocalypse. She spent only a few weeks on board before she was talked into getting married to Trim Kathorn, an Ornaran friend from her illegal smuggling days. Still not wanting to return home to live, Trim offered a compromise, which was to build a business on SB60, four days away from Ornaran space. Thus, the Ornaran Family Restaurant was born.
