Homecoming

I'm tired of being here.
I'm tired of this crowd.
That's what I said back then;
It's what I'm screamin' now.
Done with this part of my life;
there's no turnin' 'round.
Echoed words of years ago,
Hear the familiar sound.

I'm goin' home again,
back where it all began.
Diff'rent this time, If I can.
I'm goin' home again.

Jason has a wife and kids;
Phil and Ron are unemployed.
None of this matters to me,
I'll just be chillin' with my boys.
I should be callin' round for jobs,
Fillin' apps out for school.
It's not that important now,
I'm comin' home and all is cool.

I'm goin' home again.
Life deal me another hand.
Headed back from where I ran.
I'm goin' home again.

Most my friends have moved away
'Cept my best buds, still around.
It seems that just like them,
I can't escape this town.
Sometimes I question why I left
Then I remember why.
Just a brief stop back home again
Before I say good-bye.

I'm goin' home again,
Back to where it all began.
Do if diff'rent if I can.
I'm goin' home again.
