Move On

Distorted pictures in my mind,
Things that aren't and haven't been.
Days that I would like to find
Are waiting in a later when.

Then time moved on.
I couldn't feel.
Then time moved on.
What does it steal?

The world has changed, I didn't see.
I didn't know I'd changed as well.
I looked out but not at me
In this new mirror I can tell.

Then I moved on,
Marching blindly.
Then I moved on.
In the end I'll see.

A newer life is yet to come;
Longing for it but frightened, too.
Experience added, life's the sum.
Upon the old we build the new.

Then we moved on,
Not knowing where.
Then we moved on.
We've all been there.
Then we moved on,
Stopping never.
Then we moved on.
Live forever.

Move on, move on...
