A PRAYER FOR THE AMERICAN NATION
John 14:26-28
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I
do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let
your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

In light of today's terrorist attacks,
let us pray for wisdom for our leaders especially
President Bush;
let us pray for all the families of the dead and injured;
let us pray for the safety of fireman, police, and
recovery crews;
let us pray for the peace, protection and safety of
the American nation and its allies;
let us pray for the safety of our airlines and all
transportation centers;
let us pray that God's peace will rule our hearts,
not fear;
let us pray that these events will draw all our
nations close to God;
let us pray that these events will draw each of us
closer to our God, will create a greater dependency
upon our Lord;
let us pray for the repentance and salvation of all;
let us pray that God would be glorified above all things.

John 16:32-34
"I have told you these things, so that in me you
may have peace. In this world you will have
trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the
world."
This is a very humble contribution, that I put together so quickly, for what has just happened to the American people and to the rest of the world who watch in horror and helplessness at this terrible drama played out directly to us all. I offer you my thoughts and prayers and say may God be with you and your loved ones, in this most terrible time.
IN MEMORY OF ALL THE VICTIMS AND OF THOSE WILL GO ON TO CARRY THIS NIGHTMARE IN THEIR HEARTS FOR A VERY LONG TIME
A special thought and prayer also goes out to all those emergency medical, fire and rescue and police officers, military personnel and all volunteers on scene who give it their best without concern for their own safety. May God be with you.

On that tragic morning, my one and only sister who is a flight attendant was not flying her usual monthly route, which is often New York City. She is not a United or American Airline flight attendant, but has still been part of the airline family for the past 34 years,which is not unlike law enforcement, firefighters or ems. As a little girl, I was always afraid, when I saw an airline crash in the news that one day she'd never come back. She's is retiring this year, 2002 and God has always brought her back home. I'm truly blessed for this and for her and in recognition to all airline personnel who are sometimes overlooked in this tragedy and often taken for granted, as the ones who "serve your meals" when you fly, I bring tribute to all those who did perish and especially to Amy R. King, flight attendant United Airlines - flight 175. May your souls rest in peace, and may your families find solace that you never will be forgotten.
