The 349th General Hospital is a modern medical unit dedicated to the combat and medical support of Western region military units. It destinguishes itself yearly by participating in the Torrance, Veteran's Day activities. In 2001, it succesfully excecuted a deployment to J.R.T.C. where it provided support to Task Force Warrior of the 25th Infantry Division. In 2000, members of the unit were deployed to Kosovo in support of Operations . In 1999, Members of the unit were deployed to Central Amerca to provide medical aid support to civilians in Guatemala. In 1998, It supported Task Force Wild Boar in Operation Golden Eagle where it was the only medical unit to succesfully accomplish it's mission. In 1997 and 1996 members of the unit were deployed to Germany in support of Operation Joint Endevour. In 1995, members of the unit were deployed to Central America to provide medical support to civilians in Belize.
