Mess kits- Pot- a mess pot is preferred to the M36 pattern M36 pattern- a two piece M36 pattern, either wartime or post-war are acceptable *Spoon- as part of the big spoon order, get one and carry it with you Cup- a simple aluminum or enamelled steel cup is something you should have with you for that rare cup of tea or coffee |

*Belt- a leather or web/leather belt with a roller buckle *Ammo Pouch- a leather Mosin Nagant ammo pouch is required- NO M44 POUCHES!!!!!!!!!!! If you have an SVT or a submachine gun, get a correct pouch to go with that. *Canteen with Cover- post-war are acceptable, although ideally they should be stripped or repainted *Gas Mask Bag- make sure to get a correct World War II pattern, many post-war patterns are incorrect, but some can be converted AND/OR *Meyshok- the back pack is easy to make and many correct post-war or reproductions are available on the market, avoid the later post-war which need to be converted E-tool and cover- a Czarist, early war, or mid-late-post-war shovels are all acceptable, make sure to get a correct cover Plasch Palatka- get one with wooden toggles and either sewn or leather grommets Grenade Pouches- if you plan on carrying grenades or find yourself without a correct ammo pouch, get a 3 pocket F1 pouch, if you can afford a two pocket RGD pouch, they are acceptable as well |
