Weapons
M91/30 Rifle
As we are a rifles division, it is important that all members have one.  These are still fairly cheap, costing only about $150 at the most.  They can still be bought for under $100 in some areas.  A cleaning kit and sling are needed for this rifle.  The bayonet is not required.  The M44 pouches that normally come with them are not to be used at events as these are a very late war item.
M38 Carbine
The M38 carbine is a shortened version of the M91/30.  It's a great weapon for those who are filling the roll of a medic or part of a machine gun or mortar crew.  They were also used by scouts who would try to have something with a little more range than their submachine guns if an SVT was not available.  Try and keep the use of these restricted to such personelle.  Again, make sure to have the sling and cleaning kit.
M44 Carbine
These are the late war carbines with the folding bayonets.  If you get one, which is not recommended, get one with 1945 or before dates.  Don't ever get one of these to use as your primary weapon or you won't have many opertunities to reenact.
SVT 38/40
A great semi-automatic rifle to have around.  They do tend to break down easily, so make sure to have a cleaning kit with all the tools you will need for it.  There have been recent attempts to make an SKS based reproduction, these are allowed, just make sure the length is correct.
Maxim M1910, DP
If you can acquire a blank or gas version of one of these machine guns, please do.  They boost the fire power of the squad considerably and will give us an edge over the Fascists.
PPD, PPSH 41, PPS 42/43
If you can get one of these submachine guns, please do.  The semi-automatic versions are acceptable as are the blank only versions currently being made.  The Red Army made widespread use of the submachine gun, so it would have been quite common for a "rifleman" to be carrying one.
Captured Weapons
Captured weapons such as submachine guns and machine guns are great.  If you have an MP38/40 or an MG34 laying around somewhere, please bring it along.
Pistols
Pistols are only authorized for officers and NCOs, enlisted personelle may not carry them unless in the one exception that they are portraying a scout.
