About the Book:
Plot Summary: After Chuck and Lori's father died, their Mom became an inspirational speaker, travelling from place to place to give speeches to corparations, etc.  Most of the time she is away, but now Mom has asked Lori and Chuck to come with her to see what she does.  In Lori and Chcuk's family there has been many problems, Lori and Chuck have been resenting each other for reasons lost to them, and Mom for never being around.  On, the trip, after much unpleasantness, Chuck finds some worth in himself, and Lori and her mother finally come to an understanding.  In the end, everyone has an appriciation of each other.
My comments: ****  What I like about the book is how frighteningly realistic Chuck and Lori are portrayed with their mother in regards to the nasty things that do go between them.  It reminds me a lot of my own family, and my relationship with my older sister.  Perhaps Mrs. Haddix made this book to remind us all to be a lot nicer to our siblings and appreciate them.
