The Asylum's Mission

The Asylum is committed to the creation of progressive art in the theatre through the professional development of original plays by contemporary playwrights, and the innovative production of established works.

Since 1997, The Asylum has produced new plays by playwrights from across the United States as fully-mounted productions and staged readings. Such work makes a valuable contribution to both the cultural life of the Las Vegas community, and the future of contemporary theatre. The Asylum is committed to facilitating interaction between the audience, the artist, and the community through the organization of Discussion and Outreach events.

Play Submissions

The Asylum Theatre accepts full-length and one-act play submissions that have not been professionally produced by a major regional or Broadway theatre. Scripts are accepted year-round; however, our season is decided by March 1st of the preceding year.

Please send scripts in standard submission format, with a character breakdown, contact information, and in a securely bound folder or binder to:

The Asylum Theatre
4441 Rockaway Beach Street Las Vegas, NV
891
29

Please include a SASE with proper postage for return of scripts. Submissions without a SASE will be recycled.

Although great care is taken with all submissions, The Asylum is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misdirected scripts. Please do not send us your only copy of a script.
