| The Skaliosis story begins with the birth of an idea between two friends in marching band. They wanted to form a band that would include the typical guitar, bass, drums, & vocals with the addition of a horn section. It would be a whole year before this band would actually come together. The first practice consisted of a trumpet, trombone, drums & a vocalist in a small basement room working on a song that would never materialize. The original band would consist of only 6 guys and over the next 3 1/2 years would grow to include 9 people...with a total of 11 people being in the band at one point or another. One member was asked to leave...one left on good terms, one switched instruments, 5 were asked to join and 5 had been there since the begining. There have also been many others who, through their dedication and selfless giving, have earned the right to call themselves members. By the time you read this, Skaliosis will cease to exist as a performing ensemble but will forever be a part of our lives and of those who were with us all the way.
