Who is the Almighty?

The Arians and the polytheists demoted Jesus to a mighty god in contrast with the Almighty God, even some demoted him further to just an ordinary man. To give you an example, when the Jehovah's Witnesses printed their perverted version of the Holy Bible, they called it the New World Translation (NWT). In the NWT, they forced their bias against Jesus, this is obvious in their rendering of John 1:1 where they called the eternal Word as god.

Is Jesus really a lesser god being called the mighty god in Isaiah 9:6? The answer is big fat NO! Even in their NWT, the Holy Bible will prove them wrong.

Before we present to you that Jesus is indeed the Almighty God, the Second Person of the Trinity, we must realize that Yahweh or Jehovah is also called the mighty God, this is evident in the following passages: Psalms 50:1; 132:2; 5; Isaiah 10:21; Jeremiah 32:18; and Habakkuk 1:12. These passages refer to Yahweh or Jehovah as the mighty God.

First ask the cultist who was speaking in Revelation 1:11. They will certainly answer, "the Father" or "Jehovah". Having said thus, patiently show to them who was really speaking and described by the Apostle John in Revelation 1:9-18. Pray that this method will un-brainwash them.

Please read on.

The following passage is quoted from the King James Version (1611) of the Holy Bible:

(9) John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. (10) I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, (11) Saying [1],

I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

(12) And I turned to see the voice that spake with me [2]. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; (13) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man [3], clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. (14) His [3] head and his [3] hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his [3] eyes were as a flame of fire; (15) And his [3] feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice [4] as the sound of many waters. (16) And he [4] had in his [4] right hand seven stars: and out of his [4] mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his [4] countenance was as the sun shineth in his [4] strength. (17) And when I saw him [4], I fell at his [4] feet as dead [5]. And he [4] laid his [4] right hand upon me[6], saying unto me,

Fear not; I am the first and the last: (18) I am he that liveth, and was dead [7]; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

[Quoted from the King James Version (1611) of the Holy Bible.]

Conclusion

The Alpha and Omega is the Son of Man. While distinct in Person with the Father, he is also called the Almighty God worthy of all praise, honor and worship, he was dead but he is now alive forever more--his name is Jesus! He is the true God and eternal life (1 John 5:20).

Notes:

[1]  By the one with a great voice.

[2]  The one whose voice was great said he is the Alpha and Omega.

[3]  The one with a great voice who spake with John said he is the Alpha and Omega.

[4]  He who had a great voice spake with John and who said he is the Alpha and Omega is like unto the Son of man (from a distance).

[5]  Observe that the Alpha and Omega did not rebuke John for bowing or worshipping to Him, this in contrast with the behavior of the angel  (Revelation 19:10; 22:9)

[6]  He who had a great voice spake with John and said he is the Alpha and Omega did not rebuke John for worshipping him.

[7]  The one whose voice was great said he is the Alpha and Omega and that was dead and now lives forever more.
