Padmé Naberrie Palpatine

Padmé Naberrie was born in a small mountain village of Naboo. Padmé always been very interested in public service, always wanting to save people. Like her father, Ruwee, she served as volonteer in the Refugee Relief Movement. As she was very talented, Padmé became her parents' little prodigy child, what always let her elder sister, Sola, a little bit more in the shade. Padmé followed the education she needed to achieve her goals while Sola prepared herself to settle into a more quiet life, following her mother's path. At the age of eight, Padmé joined the Apprentice Legislature and became an apprentice Legislater at age 11. By 14, she was elected Queen of Naboo and took the name of Amidala. It was by that time that her life began to take another way.

During the Trade Federation siege of Naboo, the scheming Neimoidians tried to force her to sign a treaty that would legitimize a brazenly illegal occupation. As she refused, she was sentenced to a prison camp, but on the way, she was freed by Jedi ambassadors. They took the Queen and part of her retinue to Coruscant, to plead her case before the Senate with the help of Naboo's galactic representative, Senator Palpatine.

As her ship was damaged by the Trade Federation, Amidala had to land on a nearby planet, Tatooine. Hiding her identity as a handmaiden, Padmé accompanied the jedi Qui-Gon Jinn in Mos Espa, searching for someone who could have the pieces to repair the ship. They found there a junkdealer, but the Republic Credits were worthing nothing there, so they didn't have the money to buy the pieces. Yet, the junkdealer remarked Padmé and whispered to Qui-Gon that if he was solding him that girl he could let him have the pieces. Qui-Gon was surprised by this proposition. He couldn't accept, but he tried another deal : what if he was just letting her there in guarantee while he was going back on Coruscant search the money. The junkdealer half accepted, saying that this kind of deal should need two girls instead that just one because it was more risky. They finally agreed on that. Qui-Gon left the place with Padmé. She was really wondering what was his deal. Of course, he didn't tell her. He said that he would only tell it to the Queen herself, what greatly frustrated Padmé who was, as you know, the Queen undercover. They went back in the desert, going back at their ship, but a sandstorm surprised them. The Jedi used his powers to lead themselves, but Padmé almost died. She was very angry at the jedi. She said he could have sensed it and that if she had died it would have been a huge catastrophe and that she would have made him pay for it. She quickly disapeared of his view and exchanged her place with Sabé to finally know what was the Jedi's idea. Of course, when she learned it, she was so horribly angry, that it was weird that the Jedi didn't recognize her (remembering her attack of nerves for the sandstorm). She screamed that her handmaidens weren't slaves, that they were her friends, that she would never tolerate that and to let them on this terrible sandy planet. Nevertheless, her handmaidens made her understand that it was their only chance to leave the planet and that she had to go on Coruscant to save Naboo. Padmé accepted with difficulty to let Saché and Yané leave.

Their ship now repaired, Padmé left Tatooine and finally arrived on Coruscant to ask for Senator Palpatine's help, but she wasn't very excited at the idea of talking with him. She was finding him so weird, him and all his family. She was strongly believing all the rumors about them, that his wife was a slave, that they got married when their son had three years old, that he was just a depraved man who made her pregnant and blahblahblah. In fact, she was hating him. He was boring and she was feeling that he was hiding something...

As she was going to change of place with Sabé again, Padmé met for the first time that little blond annoying pest, Anakin. He told her that he was a pilot and that he wanted to marry her, what made her laugh a lot, ignoring that it would actually happen. Padmé left him alone and prepared herself for her meeting with Palpatine. As you can imagine, they were getting on each other's nerves. So, to finish that conversation the quickest she could, she finally called for that Vote of No confidence in Supreme Chancellor Valorum.

Fed up with the Senate (and also with Palpatine), Amidala returned to Naboo. She requested aid form the Gungans in freeing her captured capital. During the Battle of naboo, Amidala infiltrated her own palace and forced the Neimodian Viceroy to end the occupation. The cowardly Neimodians, having their armies defeated, capitulated and freedom was brought back to Naboo.

When her terms ended, Amidala was constitutiutionally obligated to step down as Queen, though the public would have easily backed an amendment allowing her to serve longer. Though she had every right to retire and concentrate on her personal life, Amidala continued to be passionate about public service. At the request of the new Naboo monarch, Queen Jamilla, Amidala served as Senator of Naboo, taking the position once occupied by Palpatine. In a galaxy undergoing tumultuous changes, her outspoken nature shone as a beacon of reason and rationality in an increasingly fragmented Senate.

With the rise of a Separatist movement that threatened the stability of the Republic, Amidala was one of the few championing a peaceful resolution to the crisis. Alarmist Senators tried to create a military force to protect the Republic, but Amidala led the opposition against the Military Creation Act. She believed such a measure would inevitably lead to hostilities against the Separatists.

On the day of the Military Creation Act vote, Amidala's starship was attacked upon arriving at Coruscant. Seven people, including her decoy Cordé, died in the explosion. Though some suspected that disgruntled spice miners from the moons of Naboo were the culprits, Amidala believed that it was actually Count Dooku, leader of the Separatists, behind the attack. In truth, it was an old enemy, Nute Gunray, who was behind the bounty hunters hired to finally silence the young woman from Naboo, though that would go undiscovered for some time. Well, it was almost the truth, because behind all of that was partly hiding Palpatine who was highly wanting her dead.

When Anakin saw her for the second time in ten years, he became so fascinated by her that he insisted that his father give him the charge of protecting her with the Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Palpatine thought Anakin was crazy, but finally accepted, tired to hear him almost crying because he wanted to be Padmé's bodyguard.

Anakin was to escort Padmé to Naboo, where she would be sequestered while the Jedi investigated the attacks against her. Yes, now, you understand what happened. Anakin wanted to, well, er... know her a little bit more because he was finding her 'sexy'. Of course, she didn't want to do anything with him. She had principles, she was a virtuous woman!...even if she was wearing tight fitting half transparent low-cut dresses. As she had for principles to never do something before marriage, Anakin asked her in marriage. She refused, telling him that he was a total idiot.

Shortly thereafter, Anakin and Padmé voyaged to Geonosis, to rescue Obi-Wan who had been captured by Separatist forces. Padmé hoped to use her diplomatic skills to parley with the Separatists, but she and Anakin were captured by the Geonosians. Placed on trial for espionage, Amidala and Anakin were sentenced for execution.

Faced with overwhelming evidence of her mortality, Padmé lowered her emotional guard and professed her love to Anakin. She asked him if his proposal of marriage was still holding. He said that it was, but that they were going to die, well, surely not him, but her, yes. As they were about to be lead in the arena alongside Obi-Wan, Anakin was freed by some Geonosians guards. He promised Padmé to save her and that they would get married. While Padmé was entering the arena, Anakin was brought before Dooku, who had learned that his master's son was there. Anakin then explained his new plan to Dooku because he didn't want to see Padmé die, now that she was his fiancée.

Anakin, supposedly kept as a prisonner near Dooku, watched carefully the arena, trying to protect Padmé during the executions. The Jedi could die, but not her. Everything was going just right, but the spectacle was cut short with the arrival of Jedi reinforcements, and then the opening battle of the historic Clone Wars.  Anakin ran into the arena, taking back the blaster the Geonosians had took from him, and continued to play his role of the 'kind and caring' Supreme Chancellor's son while joining Padmé to help her. Despite her initial objections to a Republic army, Padmé nonetheless fought alongside the newly created clone troopers against the Separatist droid forces.

After the Battle of Geonosis, Anakin escorted Padmé to Coruscant and introduced his fiancée to his parents. What made Shmi happy, enraged his father (what you must admit, is not too difficult to do). After a long discussion with Anakin and after a lot of 'please!' and 'come on, dad!!!', Palpatine finally agreed to let him marry the Naboo Bitch, pleased by the fact that she had to resign to become Anakin's wife.

As Padmé was quitting her political carrier, she decided to let down the name of Amidala before she got married and become Padmé Naberrie Palpatine.
