Pooja Naberrie is the youngest daughter of Sola Naberrie, and niece to Padmé Naberrie Palpatine. The cherub-faced curly-haired girl was four years old during the events that sparked the Clone Wars. When the stresses of galactic politics would overburden Padmé, she would find respite and perspective in the carefree spirit of her young nieces, whom she loved dearly.
Sola and Darred Naberrie named their youngest girl after Darred's maternal grandmother. As a little girl, Pooja was very talkative and seemed to have a dream career on a weekly basis. The determined little girl often spoke of being a senator, a teacher, a starfighter pilot, a tusk-cat-trainer, and nonsensically enough, an astromech droid. Unfortunately, most of this changed at her cousins' birth, at the fall of the Republic.
Like her elder sister Ryoo, Pooja was happy to know that she would have cousins. The six years old little girl was liking to take care of children. Her parents thought that she would finish to be a teacher. The only problem, as you already know, is that Luke and Leia are not children like every other children. When Pooja first saw them, she found really strange the fact that babies could be dressed in black. She found that frightening and she wanted to know why. Her family had of course difficulty to explain her the fact that they were darksider children and Darksider's children, as they knew Pooja wouldn't understand. She would unfortunately understand it by herself three years later, as her cousins were visiting the Naberries. Knowing that Pooja was liking children, Padmé let them with her and Ryoo. Like the brats they were, Luke and Leia wanted to play with Pooja's toys now, NOW!!! Pooja didn't want, she quickly understood that they would break them. This frustrated Luke and Leia who couldn't accept refusals. They then started to make fly Pooja's toys everywhere in the room. Pooja started to scream and Sola and Padmé ran in the room. Padmé scolded her children, telling them that it wasn't a way to act with their cousin, while Sola tried to comfort her daughter. She would never be the same after this event.
Now forever traumatized, Pooja tried to understand vainly what had happened. Her mother finally explained her that it wasn't her toys that were possessed by an evil entity, but that it was her cousins. Pooja didn't understand at this time, but she understood that her cousins were dangerous children and that they weren't like the others.
Growing up, Pooja became what her parents had thought she would finish to be. The blond curly-haired girl became a teacher for little children, making a goal in her life to protect these from an evil influence, hoping they would never become like her cousins.
