Founded by  Les Torrens    (1923 - 2000)
Established in 1982, the Buffers is a group of  transport enthusiasts living in Southern Ontario, which meets for their enjoyment of British railway and other transport modelling.
Golden Jubilee.
The  two photos below are provided in commemoration of the Golden Jubilee of railway preservation, which occured  in May 2001.
Taken in October 1995, Princess Royal No 46203 Princess Margaret Rose is shown leaving Nottingham Station. First introduced by the LMS in 1933. ( Photo by Jim Young)
The Didcot Railway Centre
Shown circa 1983 is ex GWR castle castle 4-6-0 No 5051 Earl of Bathurst and ex GWR 2-8-0 No 3822. ( photo Geoff Chandler)
At Bridgnorth Shed circa 1985 on the Severn Valley Railway is British Railways Std class 5MT 4-6-0 75069 togeher with LMS designed and BR built 2-6-0 43106. Note the 21A Saltley shed code and the Self Cleaning smoke box designation. ( Photo Geoff Chandler)
