| The banker prepares to move to the down line and descend the bank. The unique 0-10-0 Lickey Banker was built by the Midland Railway in 1919 and passed through LMS ownership to British Railways ownership in 1948. Big Bertha's last banking duties were on the 6th of May 1956 about a year after these pictures. The engine was moved to Derby and cut up in April 1957. Blackwell station at the summit can be seen in the background. |
