I am usually a 14th century Norman, however, I have been known to go outside my time span and area.
I enjoy costuming when I have the time. I crochet snoods and will make them for just about anyone.
I currently live in the Shire of Draca Mor in Artemesia.
I first got involved in the Society in the early 1980's in what was then the Shire of Bonwicke. I was attending Starcon IV where there was a demo. I was fascinated but what really convinced me that this was a good bunch of people to be around was the fact that all the menbers of the shire turned out to help me look for my eighteen month old son who had escaped from his stroller. I will never forget the look on Giles of Sweetwater's face as he brought me a fussing and soaked toddler and asked, "My lady, does this belong to you?"
I moved away from Ansteorra about 6 months after that. I lived in Draca Mor in Atenveldt for about two years and then moved to Caer Mithin Halle in what was then the Principality of the Outlands in Atenveldt. I received my AoA from their Majesties, Leif and Ishtar in April of 1990 at the Outlands Crown Tourney where I was Hosting Shire List Mistress. I remained in Caer Mithin Halle until 1992 when I moved to Blacklake.
I moved back to Draca Mor in January, 2002. I have not been participating in the Society lately, due to having mundane family concerns. However, I am continuing my costuming and my handwork. I recently completed a Celtic Renaissance gown as well as a chemise to go under it entirely by hand--no sewing machine stitches at all!
