The Council

Leaves fell all around the Council as they all sat in their chairs in a U shape. Elrond stood in the middle looking at everyone as he spoke why the Council had been summoned. He greeted everyone somberly before getting into greater detail ere asking Frodo to bring forth the Ring.

Frodo did not hesitate as he stood up and carefully placed the Ring in front of Elrond on the cement pillar. Everyone whispered quietly to themselves in wonder and awe as they all could see the Ring. Boromir stood up and tried to convince the Council to let Gondor take the Ring and use it against Evil, Strider tried to explain to Boromir that no one could use it for good for the Ring would turn the good into Evil for it answered to Sauron.

Gimli had tried to destroy the Ring with his axe but soon found out that the Ring could not be destroyed by anything except the fires in Mount Doom. Lothaelin watched Frodo closely after Gimli had struck the Ring, for he held his head as if he were in great pain.
Lothaelin could hear the Ring whispering in the strange tongue that was not used out of Mordor.

Boromir spoke up and explained the difficulties they would have trying to get into Mordor, for the Black Gates were guarded with Orcs and other Evil, and the Eye watches over everything. Frodo looked frightened by everything Boromir had said. Legolas, Gimli and Boromir exchanged harsh words until everyone joined in bickering with one another.

The Ring started whispering gradually growing louder; Frodo stared at the Ring as if he could see the Eye watching him.
Lothaelin could hear the foul language being repeated, soon she could see the flame surrounding the Ring before Frodo broke out of the trance and stood up. Lothaelin felt her heart drop, for she knew at once that Frodo was putting his life in grave danger; just as the mirror of Galadriel had shown her thousands of years before.

"I will take it." He spoke out as the others were still bickering at one another, but they did not hear him.
"I will take it!" He loudly repeated himself. As Frodo had said those words she felt as if something she treasured greatly had vanished. The rest of the Council quieted down as Frodo continued to speak, they all turned around to look at the tiny hobbit willingly take on this big feat.

The Council looked surprised and bewildered at the same time, though after Gandalf vowed to help Frodo Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Boromir vowed to help Frodo. Lothaelin could see Sam hiding in the bushes behind Elrond, she expected him to jump out by now and was wondering why he did not do so. Sam leapt out of the bushes and stood faithfully by Frodo's side, soon after Merry and Pippin both joined in standing by their cousin and friend.

"Anyway, you need people of intelligence on this mission, quest...thing." Pippin informed Elrond.
"Well, that rules you out, Pip." Merry whispered to Pippin, and Pippin nodded in agreement before he realized what Merry had said. Lothaelin tried not to giggle in the tree, for every moment caused more leaves to fall off the tree and land on the Council.
"Right, where are we going?" Pippin asked. Lothaelin nearly fell out of the tree trying to stop herself from laughing. She regained her composure before she watched the rest of the Council talking to the Fellowship.

Although Elrond and Gandalf allowed Lothaelin to show herself in front of the hobbits at the Council, she had chosen not to. For a reason that not even she could explain, but she did know that they would all eventually see her for Sam had already when she did not intend.

Elrond looked up into the tree and nodded, he led the rest of the Council and the Fellowship into the Great Hall where they would all sup before nightfall. Lothaelin climbed down from the tree carefully before she ran out into the open fields where the horses were trotting about freely.

She found EveningStar lying near the waterfall watching all the other horses running freely, as soon as he hear a soft voice calling out to him his ears perked up and he looked around trying to locate his Master. She stopped as soon as she reached the pool of water that he was laying by.
