Welcome to Resident Evil 0.
Review Resident Evil 0 will blow your mind just like all the others before it. Many different plot twist and secrets that have answers but just make more questions. I personally think this is the best game in the series. it has beautiful graphix, great sound, Excellent voice acting, a good plot, it's a all around great game. Though some people who can't adapt bitch about the conrtol, but if you've survived it in the other games you'l be able to do it in this one. I still don't see what the big deal about it is but O well. Character zapping is a breeze, press X to switch characters and start to get into a group or go solo. or it can be done through the items screen. The graphix are the best I've ever seen out of any game. To me there are 3 different types of cutscenes, REal time with the character models you play with, CG with the realistic looking character models with the high amount of detail but there is something about them that makes them not look quite real, then there are GREAT CG cutscenes that you rub your eyes and ask yourself if thats the game or is it a movie. Alas there are very few GREAT CG cutscenes but regaurdless it's all good. the best looking scene is when Billy explains himself to Rebecca. I am happy to report that the lag in the cutscenes is gone. most noteable in the REmake when Wesker is about to be impaled and the game slows down to get to get to the next camera angle. those are gone thenk God. and sometimes cutscenes and door opening scenes take a bit longer than you want to load but they are all worth it. The game could of stood to be a little longer but with all the great level designs I can see why it wasn't too long, but there are some nice extra's that you can get that will keep you playing. Leech hunter is a nice little mini game you get after beating the game and you can unlock secrets in there. other secrets can be unlocked by beating the game with a certain rank in normal or hard mode, Which I hear Normal and hard are quite difficult. I'll be trying Normal soon. My main problem with the game is I don't like the fictional direction they are takeing the game in. Once you play through and beat it and see the whole thing with the leeches and stuff you'll know what I mean. Resident Evil 0 Is a very good, clean, cinematic game that'll keep you hooked until the very last blood drop is shed. Ningamer7's verdict: 10! |
