THE EYE KNOWS

Grant's Eye on the World

And another week flies past us. You see the sicko Democrats out there this week? They're bringing out the loose cannons again. Who could be more reckless and less accurate than Jimmy Carter? Well yeah, you're right, Billie-bob Clinton. He's still spouting off as well. He's never shut up as a matter of fact. These guys couldn't be more wrong than when they were in charge, but then, what do you really expect? They were never right about anything.

Listen for the Call of the Wild (man)

Nothing like listening to nature calls to soothe the beast within. Nothing like naturists listening to junk scientists to listen to the beast without.

Apes' jungles 'will be lost in 30 years'; Timesonline (UK); September 04, 2002
You might want to pull out the crying towel for this one folks.

THE jungle homes of the great apes will all but disappear in 30 years unless human beings slow down the rate at which they are destroying the animals' habitats, the UN said yesterday.
Why Eye! You're such a cruel and heartless slob! Who else would come to these startling conclusions? The UN, that unbiased champion of world freedom, is making its case.

Logging, mining, human settlement and the trade in ape meat were wiping out gorillas, chimpanzees and bonobos in Africa and the orang-utans of Asia, according to a United Nations report launched at the Earth Summit. UN officials called for urgent action to save mankind's closest relatives, saying that their fate was crucial to the success of the Earth Summit's plans to reduce biodiversity loss by 2010.
(GASP!) They didn't mention farming, automobiles, computers, and breathing in that list of causes. I find the last sentence pretty much sums it up, ". . . their fate was crucial to the success of the Earth Summit. . .". These beasts were smarter than the delegates who attended, that's for sure.

"Less than 10 per cent of the remaining habitat of the great apes of Africa will be left relatively undisturbed by 2030 if road-building, mining camps and other infrastructure developments continue at current levels," the report said. The future of the orangutans of South-East Asia looks even bleaker. In 28 years there will be almost no pristine habitat left. The shrinking habitat has been accompanied by a sharp decline in great ape populations.
If you read the garbage they put out, it almost makes you wonder. But let's look at the facts. The world's rainforests are actually increasing in size. The Amazon jungle is growing and the population density in America is 'LESS THAN 5%' of all available land in the continental United States. Now, in a highly populated country such as the US, just how is it that these other areas are so densely populated that they're crowding out the jungle creatures when the statistics say these regions are sparsely populated?

Some estimates put the chimpanzee population at 200,000, compared with more than two million a century ago. Researchers say that the great apes are highly intelligent with sophisticated social structures. Chimpanzees share 98.4 per cent of human DNA, more than any other mammal. "They are like us in more than their biological composition," Jane Goodall, the leading primatologist, said.
I wonder if those apes answered all those silly 2000 census questions. More than likely not. They probably hated those census takers just like all the other citizens. Let me pose a question to these researchers. Since these great apes are so intelligent, why don't we ask them to conform to liberalism. What's that? Just as I thought. They think liberals are stupid too.

You cain't win at checkers until you git all da pieces

I like this story. I mean this one says it all.

Clinton: Get bin Laden before pursuing Hussein; Sacramento Bee/AP; Sep 5, 2002
When will this oaf shut up? I mean he's out there week after week after week making all these comments and pointing out what needs to be done. Just what did he do when he was in office? You guessed it, "Not a Damn Thing".

Former President Bill Clinton urged the Bush administration Thursday to finish the job with Osama bin Laden before taking on Iraq.
You'd think that this was meant to be a joke, but it's not. Why do I say that? Billie-bob turned down 3 offers to have trashBin Laden handed over to him. At least one of those times, when he and Madeleine Not-so-bright placed trashBin Laden on the top 10 most wanted criminals.

"Saddam Hussein didn't kill 3,100 people on Sept. 11," Clinton said. "Osama bin Laden did, and as far as we know he's still alive."
No evidence he lives, but then facts will not deter a liberal from making accusations. And let's note that Billie-bob did not point out that Iraq supports terrorism and the fact that he himself hundreds of times called for the removal of Saddam while he was in office.

"I also believe we might do more good for American security in the short run at far less cost by beefing up our efforts in Afghanistan, Pakistan and elsewhere to flesh out the entire network," Clinton said.
Pakistan? What on earth for? We go traipsing in there where there is no clear cut reason to do so, and we are in trouble. Pakistan? Come on Billie-bob what gives? You want to know the real reason Billie-bob wants us to stay out of Iraq? It's simple. About 3 weeks ago he made a speech he'd pick up a rifle and crawl into a trench if Iraq ever attacked Israel. I think he's now worried about that statement. After all, he hid during the Viet Nam war.

MTV! It's not all it's cracked up to be

This next story goes without saying really. I mean, they supported Billie-bob in both his campaigns for president.

'MTV' PARTY GIRLS RAPED; The New York Post; Sept 2, 2002
You are what you eat. I'd say MTV had their feast.

A gang of thugs sexually assaulted four suburban teenagers who came to Manhattan for last week's MTV awards - apparently after the men promised the girls they'd introduce them to rap stars including Eminem, police sources said yesterday.
The Big Apple has con men of all types. But then, most of the people in the entertainment business do have their problems. Right OJ?

After partying together at several area bars, they split into two groups. Two of the young women eventually stepped into a black sedan parked in a nearby lot with one of the men, according to detectives.
You have to wonder if these kids were ever taught anything. Well the question answers itself; they are products of today's liberal educational institutional centers.

Cops said there was no reason to think the attackers actually knew Eminem or any other rap celebrities or could deliver on the promise. Police said the victims, whose names were not released, did not report the attack to cops until early Saturday morning at Grand Central Terminal, where they had gone to catch a train home. They described their alleged attackers as black men in their early 20s.
Well rumor has it that the police are now conducting searches, but due to racial profiling they are shaking down invalid white grandmothers waiting to board flights at La Guardia Airport. Why not? It makes as much sense as today's airport screeners.

I Never Met a Dictator I didn't Like

Who else would come out in favor for Saddam Hussein, but Jimmy Earl Carter. Next to Clinton, the most failed administration in history. Even more failed than Nixon. At least Nixon did accomplish a few things. He ended the Viet Nam war and opened relations with China. What is Carter's claim to fame?

Carter Says Iraq Poses 'No Current Danger' to U.S.; Reuters; Sep 5, 2002
The guy who was measured by the 'Misery Index' when interest rates were 20% has come out in favor of yet another dictator.

Former President Jimmy Carter, warning against a unilateral U.S. war against Iraq, said on Thursday that Baghdad poses "no current danger to the United States," and also criticized America's drift away from its historical role as a global champion of human rights.
The guy who had no foreign policy other than when Billie-bob was in office starts sounding off again. He just came back from Cuba after praising Fidel Castro. This guy is a liberal's liberal.

"As has been emphasized vigorously by foreign allies and by responsible leaders of former administrations and incumbent officeholders, there is no current danger to the United States from Baghdad," Carter wrote in an opinion piece published in The Washington Post.
What would Jimmy 'Peanuts' Carter know? The man who stood up when America was challenged speaks yet again.

He also lamented that the United States was "abandoning any sponsorship of substantive negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis."
The ultimate in boneheads now complains about the Israeli/Palestinian problem. Anyone notice lately that Arafat has been successfully neutered? No thanks to Billie-bob and Peanuts Carter.

"Pre-emptory rejections of nuclear arms agreements, the biological weapons convention, environment protection, anti-torture proposals and punishment of war criminals have sometimes been combined with economic threat against those who might disagree with us," Carter wrote. "The unilateral acts and assertion increasingly isolate the United States from the very nations needed to join in combating terrorism."
Spoken like a true liberal. When he had the chance to do something what did he do? When he was challenged what happened? Other than being a buffoon what is Peanuts Carter's legacy?

"(CBS) Jimmy Carter spent his last minutes in office trying to end the 444-day Iran hostage crisis that many say cost him the presidency."
There it is. The second most inept president in the history of America. His chance at greatness slipped through his fingers for 444 days. What happened to these hapless American Embassy hostages? They were set free because the Iranians were afraid of Ronald Wilson Reagan. See any other reason not to take Peanuts Carter seriously?
