THE EYE KNOWS

Grant's Eye on the World

Made your plans yet? There are less than 3 weeks to go. Mark your calendar for November 5th. You going to be gone? Get an absentee ballot. Call today. If we've learned one thing from the 2000 election, it's a fact that 500 people decided who is president today. However a bigger fact we learned is that the liberals have mobilized dead people to vote, that's why it's so very important that you get out there. Trust me, we need 10% plus 1 person to win, there is too much fraud going on.

It's a Start on that 100%

As the intro points out, it will take 10% + 1 to win. Why? Let's look.

Shannon joins counties with voter trouble; Sioux Falls Argus Leader; 10/17/2002
There's a close Senate race in Daschole's state. Since Daschle is the Senate majority leader, he will lose face if his brother Senator from SD gets beat. So, pull out all the stops.

One in every 10 new voter registrations for people in Shannon County during the past few months is suspect and under investigation, Fall River County Auditor Sherrill Dryden said Wednesday, adding to problems surrounding a push to increase the number of Native American voters in South Dakota.
Hmmm, sounds like 10% to me.

Questions in Shannon County are the latest in a widening controversy surrounding voter registration and absentee ballots in and around reservations in the state. The issue raises the political tension in South Dakota, where in less than three weeks voters will pick a U.S. senator and representative, both of which are close races that could help decide the balance of power in the Congress.
The balance of power in the senate is at stake now. So isn't it all right to deceive, cheat and use fraudulent means to maintain power?

Red Earth worked as an independent contractor under the Democrats' program, called the Coordinated Campaign, for several months and in many parts of the state. The Democratic Party has not been implicated in the questionable documents, and Barnett has said officials have cooperated with the investigation.
Have you noticed something? Why is it ONLY democrats getting caught for these kinds of things? Doesn't that tell you something?

Also, voter-registration cards are being checked for authenticity in Pennington County, a county official said. Two brothers, who were working under a separate Native American voter program, are under investigation in that county, which is home to Rapid City.
You have to hope the Republican Sentorial Candidate John Thune does not end up uttering those immortal famous last words of General George Custer, "Where'd all those f***ing Indians come from?"

A Liberal's Dream Vote

If you don't pay attention to business, one day these results will happen in a country around you.

Defiant Iraqis Vote 'Yes' to Saddam - U.S. Skeptical; ABCnews.com/Reuters; Oct 15, 2002
I know, I know, I promised only to go into ABCnews.com once a year. This is the second time this year and I've already come to regret it.

Amid vows to defend President Saddam Hussein to the death, Iraqis cast ballots in a nationwide presidential referendum Tuesday certain to be declared a landslide victory. The United States, which has threatened military force to topple Saddam, dismissed the vote and said it lacked any credibility.
See anything wrong with this picture? Our dictator claims he's received a landslide victory. What's even more wrong, ABC found space to put up this pathetic drivel.

Soldiers fired volleys of assault rifle shots into the air in celebration after initial results from Iraqi government-controlled television gave a perfect 100 percent "Yes" vote from several polling centers in Baghdad and the provinces.
You have to wonder whether there were any voter irregularities here. Or, is this guy just that overwhelmingly popular?

Official results will be released Wednesday, but the outcome is a forgone conclusion with the voting process tightly controlled by the government and no independent observers or other candidates.
Whew! What a relief! I guess Jimmy Carter will not need to monitor this close election.

Saddam won 99.96 percent in a first referendum in 1995. Officials say privately they want an even higher percentage this time, with some hoping for a perfect 100 percent "Yes" result.
That 95 election was a squeaker! Come on ABC, why would you even give this stupid article or this dictator space on your stupid loser of a website?

The authorities had urged voters to turn out in force to show massive support for Saddam in the face of U.S. threats of military action and President Bush's declared desire to remove him from power.
Oh, sorry, forgot that. I guess it's just another dig at Bush. I've come to expect that from you.

Making good on his words, a voter pricked his right thumb with a pin and ticked "Yes" with blood on his ballot paper. "I vote with my blood, not my pen," he said. Similar scenes were reported at other polling stations.
Right. Well you might give more than a pinprick of blood. How much blood does a bunker buster draw? How much blood does a daisy cutter draw? Awww, none I guess. Bang! You're fried.

Nearly 12 million Iraqis are eligible to answer a simple "Yes" or "No" for a new term for Saddam.
Rest easy America. Trust me, it will never get to 100%. Too many liberal democrats in Broward and Palm Beach counties will confuse the yes and no ballot.

Let's Get Serious Eye

Enough of this good humor, let's try for some seriousness.

Jeb Bush Gubernatorial Race Tightens; Oct 18, 2002; A/P
This article scares me. Why's that Eye? Because you're such a lackey for George W. Bush? Because you're a mind numbed conservative Republican? Because you can't see the president's brother go down in defeat?

The president was helping raise $1 million for the state Republican Party, a contribution that would aid his brother during the final three weeks of the race.
This article scares me. Why's that Eye? Because the Republicans have all that money and they can buy an election and they can't buy this one? Because W is supporting his brother and he's liable to lose?

The presidential visit coincided with news that the governor's 25-year-old daughter, Noelle Bush, would serve 10 days in jail after being accused of having crack cocaine in her shoe while in drug rehab.
This article scares me. Why's that Eye? Can't stand the heat? You had so much to say about Billie-bob's brother, why you so quiet now? Hypocritical of you Eye.

Polls indicate a competitive race, with Gov. Bush in a statistical dead heat with McBride. Democrats nationally are targeting the race because it could hurt the president's re-election bid in 2004 while avenging the voting fiasco in November 2000 that vaulted Bush to the White House.
This article scares me. Why's that Eye? Polls too close for comfort? Is the light going out on your worthless politicians?

To answer all those questions posed to me above - NO. No to each an every one of them. So why are you scared Eye? Take a look:

18 new voting machines go missing in Broward; Sun-Sentinel.com (Fla); Oct 18, 2002
That's why. You see, other polls have the Florida gubernatorial race with Jeb out in front and not close. So why the false poll data? Why go to the pain of delineating each point of the Florida race? There were many other articles on the web about how important this race is for W and what a blow it would be to W if his brother loses.

The Broward County elections office is missing 18 new touch-screen voting machines worth $3,000 each because of poor record-keeping before the flawed Sept. 10 primary, the new elections chief said on Wednesday.
That's why I'm worried about the above article? You mean you're not concerned about the $54,000 in taxpayer money?

The missing machines were not used in the election. They were part of Elections Supervisor Miriam Oliphant's outreach program and presumably were used to educate voters on how to cast ballots. . .
The fear I have is that these machines will turn up on Election Day with enough votes in the machine memories to change the outcome of the election.

A Spelling Mistake?

Our democratic political hack Barbara Streisand is issuing her truth detectors again. Last week our famed singer of politically changed lyrics corrected her spelling errors by laying it off as a dictated memo to her secretary.

Barbra Streisand - Truth Alert.htm; 10/16/02; REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE ATTACKS BARBRA STREISAND IN ADS IN DESPERATE EFFORT TO CUT INTO CAROLYN McCARTHY LEAD
I don't like visiting liberal sites, but the former spelling bee champion opens her big nose, er mouth again and inserts another foot.

Republican/Conservative candidate trying with fading hopes to unseat respected Democratic Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy made a last-ditch effort to win headlines by devising ads in which she blatantly misquoted Barbra Streisand, fabricating outrageous quotes and completely misrepresenting Ms. Streisand's deep opposition to the Iranian dictator, Saddam Hussein.
(Hehe) OK Babs. Even dictating this you can't lay it off as a secretarial spelling mistake. Saddam is the Iraqi dictator, not Iranian (hehehe). Think you and your secretary need a little geographical/political study. Or perhaps you can call your ol' buddy Castro, that Puerto Rican dictator (hehe) for help. (Blew that one by you too, didn't I?)
