They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell. They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk. They make no sound in their throats. (Psalms 115:5-7) Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death. (Psalms 13:3) As for mortals, their days are like grass; they flourish like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. (Psalms 103:15-16) You cause the grass to grow for the cattle, and plants for people to use, to bring forth food from the earth, and wine to gladden the human heart. (Psalms 104:15-16) Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:7)
