Poem Page Eight

The Dead's Voice

The voices raise from the grave,
Slowly creeping to the ears of the young.
The words to save you need to soon be sung.
The paranormal stories come to view,
Every aspect is in a new hue.
I cannot find refuge from the screams,
They haunt my sleep flowing into my dreams.
In the shallow darkness dead bodies lurk.
From the drying marshes strange things emerge.
The zombies look at their new work,
Waiting for the new lost souls to merge.

Melting wax falls upon the dying fires,
As you try to relax the newly risen desires.
In the night of the walking dead you found vampyrism.
It clings to you like something vicious.
Stalking silently with the thought of terrorism,
You watch the lively crowds for something delicious.
Your voice adds to the aching song.
Your heart adds to the deathly cold.
Maybe you are where you belong now.
Maybe this is the missing piece to your mold.
Yet still the voices raise from the grave.
Slowly creeping to the ears of the young.
The words to save you need to soon be sung.

The following poem The Darkness: Part One, part two, and part three is a poem in a style I gained (slowly through the parts) just for this poem. The spelling, grammar, and everything that is contained within the poem is how it is written. This new stlye may become a favourite of mine and you may see it often after this poem...

The Darkness

Part One

My darkness is my words
when pain scars and nothing heals...

My darkness is my look
when the words said are that of lies

My darkness is my mind
when the thoughts crowd inside

My darkness is my tongue
when the rage I cannot flee

My darkness is my tears
when the ones I love move on

My darkness is my heart
when blacken by apathy

My darkness is my footsteps
when I stalk the shadows' day

My darkness is my life
when they turn against me agen

My darkness is my desires
when my eyes turn to you

My darkness is my dreams
when the murders I do see

My darkness is my passion
when I find it all so right

My darkness is my truth
when all else is fallen

part two

...the darkness echoes in my cries
can you hear it
will you hear it

the darkness is in my eyes
can you see it
will you see it

the darkness is my to-day
can you care
will you care

the darkness is your yesterday
can you forget it
will you forget it

the darkness is my love of you
can you love me
will you love me

the darkness is this pain I feel
can you feel it
will you feel it

the darkness is whats plaguing me
can you sense this
will you sense this

the darkness is my death...

part three

the darkness is my heart and soul
beyond my control

the darkness washes truth away
beyond my control

the darkness knocks at my door
beyond my control

the darkness creeps into the room
beyond my control

the darkness brushes against my shoulder
beyond my control

the darkness links my hands to-gether
beyond my control

the darkness plays with my mind
beyond my control

the darkness sings me to sleep
beyond my control

the darkness reminds me of all my sins
beyond my control

the darkness takes total control
but now its my control

the darkness tumbles and screams
because now I control

the darkness becomes a part of me
because now I control

the darkness feeds power to me
because now I control

THe following is dedicated to Loki Spiralwolf...

Loki SpiralWolf

Lyrical sunsets cast darkness lightly in patches,
Over the ocean where moon light catches.
Keeping safe the words of the forgotten tales,
I see her still in the dark corner sipping ales...

She smiles, showing teeth, and whispers 'beware'.
Pleased with herself she combs her fingers through her hair.
I watch her raise her hand and calm the smoke,
Reach inside and the Goddess invoke.
All the darkness was cleared.
Loki was, for some reason, feared.
With that done she got up from her seat,
Out of the pub she left everyone empty and incomplete.
Letting the sunlight burn her like fire,
Feverishly she chases after her true desire.
