Hi! I'm a 16 year old boy from Oslo - the Norwegian capital. It's also the largest city with 750 000 citizens. My birth name is Bjørn Erik Opheim. If I could change my name, I would probably have choosen the more international & political Eric the Federalist, which I feel tell more about my identity than my real name. Eric is also is my English nick...
I'm studying at Oslo Private Highschool, one of the most modern schools in my country. Unfortunately they don't offer Spanish as second language, like many other highschools here. The school is placed in a light business glass building, called Vika Atrium, with a lot of cultural offers nearby.
First of all I love politics. I'm a democrat. What do I mean with that? Well...first of all three things; federalism, pacifism & humanism. At the moment I'm a member of the youth party of The Greens, but they don't have much support in this country. :o(. I'm also a member of at least a hand full non-government organisations. Today I'm most active in Young European Federalist. For instance I'm going to an JEF arrangment in the start of June, to the German city Köln. This organisation often organizes study trips to our Mecca, Brüssel, European Union's capital.
I also love dancing. Especially breakdance, merengue & salsa. May 20th I'll start a breakdance course for beginners at The Norwegian Dance Center not far away from my school. I learned merengue at a summer camp that Socialistic Youth arranged, a youth party I was a member of for a year, in 1998.
I love getting adrenaline kick from extreme sports. I'm especially interested in paragliding, board sailing, wakeboarding, rafting, parachuting, rollerblading & snowboarding. Last autumn I tried bungee jumping in Oslo & I really loved the moment when I "set off". I thought I would be extremely afraid when I would reach the top, 60 meters above the ground, but the fact was that I was in more harmony than I had been for years! In the summer I love moving around easily & playing with the ground with blades! A very good friend of mine, Andreas Haugstad from the oldest Norwegian city, Tønsberg, has promised me that we this summer shall go to his cottage & try wakeboarding! At the end of June I will do a paragliding course for beginners & hopefully I will also have started training board sailing before the summer has ended.
I love getting friends around the world, especially if they can talk Chinese or Spanish, & one of the most funny ways I know is by ICQ. My ICQ-number was 34193300, but it's not working anymore... :o( When I'm bored or need to talk to someone immedately, I visit Englishtown Chat, made of EF Language. The Palace is a good idea, but I think it's too much work & too little spare time harmony, but it's worth a try! I haven't been often seen at online penpal clubs, something I'm sorry for, cause I would love to having more global friends, & when you have many, you also have some to choose between. |

The Maldives has been for a long time, & will probably be for the rest of my life. It consist of thousands of small islands with absolutely white sand, millions of coralls in the ocean just meters from the islands & beautiful, tropic, green trees. It's always hot there. Maybe a place where you should spend your last days? A place that offer you peace in your soul! |

Norway is a very cold country, with lots of ice & snow. The nature is more exciting than the people here, who is quite racistic & egoistic. But if you one time in your life will travel to Norway, you should visit the little city Røros, that offer you some of the finest architecture in the world! Mountain ranges you should visit is Rondane & the mountains in Lofoten. |

Even though I've never been outside Europe, most of my dream places is in other parts of the world. New York, which can be quite beautiful when the sun raises [that you can see in the photo to the right], is one of my top dream cities! |
