Suddenly Gone
Where within the dawning sun did she deserve to die?
I wept to keep her within my grasp but beneath my veiled sadness, left only cries
I seep beneath my willow tree; I must learn to kiss its vein
I crawled, weighed down by the heaving dirt and sweetened lips posed again
Yet within a mortal grasp my reason slept with death, and there alone with the sun
I laid beneath my willow tree and watched it all, my happiness suddenly gone
