| Master of Sport: The term used to refer to a gymnast competiting at the highest level of the sport in the USSR. Still used in Russia and other former Soviet republics. Mat: Safety equipment used in gymnastics to break falls. Meet: A commonly-used term for a gymnastics competition. Mill circle: Revolution on the high bar or uneven bars in which the legs are astride and the bar between them Mixed grip: Holding a bar with the palms in opposite directions Mount: A skill which gets the gymnast onto the apparatus Movement: One part of a routine. Also called a 'skill' |
