Arranger
First appearance: Marvel Team-Up #138

The right hand man to the Kingpin, Oswald P. Silkworth, who came to be better known as the Arranger, found out the hard way that crime doesn't pay. The Arranger became well known in the world of organized crime during the city wide Gang War that gripped New York, during which time the Arranger became a target of crime boss Hammerhead, and formed alliences with the Hobgoblin and the Jack O'Lantern. Unfortunatly it was during a subsequent Gang War that the Arranger failed the Kingpin, and the Kingpin, not one to take failure lightly, turned on his second-in-command, hiring British assasins Fogg and Knight to kill him. The Arranger tried to get Spider-Man to protect him, but Spidey refused and the Arranger was murdered. When Spider-Man later realized that his refusal cost the Arranger his life, he tracked down Fogg and Knight and took them down for the Arranger's death.

Prior his death the life of the Arranger was summed up by the Beetle, who had been working with him just days before he was killed: "Funny, you see a guy like The Arranger, you see someone with power and perks... and you never think what it's gotta cost him to keep what he's got. You never think... there's a guy whose whole life depends on keeping one man happy."

Powers and Abilities: The Arranger was a normal human, though due to his status with the Kingpin he had quite a bit of sway in the world of organized crime.
