Jack O' Lantern II
First appearance: Captain America #396

First worn years ago by the late Jason Macendale, the mantle of the Jack O'Lantern has since been adopted by several individuals including one who fought Captain America and another who came into contact with Spider-Man. The latter, calling himself Mad Jack, first fought Spider-Man, hinting at a past connection, and some time later showed up again, this time using seemingly supernatural powers against J. Jonah Jameson and his son John. Revealed to be in the employ of Norman Osborn, the Jack O' Lantern against fought Spider-Man alongside the mysterious Conundrum and seemed to fade into oblivion.

About six months after the suicide death of Quintin Beck, the original Mysterio, Mad Jack returned and again tortured J. Jonah Jameson, kidnapping him and taking him to his secret lair. Daredevil and Spider-Man intervened and in the midst of the battle Mad Jack was unmasked, revealed to be Maguire Beck, the distant cousin of Quintin. Maguire was defeated and captured and the new Mysterio slinked away, Mad Jack's pet cat Maguire in tow.

Powers and Abilities: The Jack O' Lantern has Goblin weaponry at his control and uses special effects to simulate super natural effects.
