The Looter
First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #36

Years ago scientist, (and part time nut) Norton G. Fester discovered a meteorite and upon inspection, unleashed gases from within it. Breathing in the gases Fester was given super-human powers, and like anyone would do in that kind of situation, made a costume for himself and turned to crime as the Meteor Man. Fester was defeated and sent to prison, where he would stay for some time to come.

Fester was released years later, and renamed himself the Looter. Continuing with his crime spree, he encountered the Defenders, who he fought several times before being defeated and sent to prison once more. Fester, out of prison and homeless, his powers gone, laid low for a time, returning to crime and facing arrest once more. Fester was released, his powers having returned, and was recruited as a member of Carolyn Trainer's criminal entourage. Fester escaped as that began to fall apart and he soon sought out the personal effects of other criminals to go on crime sprees witout being identified. When Spider-Man caught up with him, he learned that Fester was trying to prove himself the World's greatest Looter and was also conducting research on a meteorite he had discovered. Fester was taken down, again, dispite the fact that it seemed he had been doing the research for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Upon his release, Fester, having not learned anything, tried to commit another bank robbery before being stopped by Spider-Man, in his guise as the Hornet.

Powers and Abilities: Fester has abilities beyond those of normal men, and despite his penchant for being defeated, is still committed to proving himself the World's greatest Looter.
