the plot: While Kaine and the Scarlet Spider take on the Jackal's army of degenerative Spider-Man clones, the Jackal himself, and his lackey Spidercide conspire on what to do with the only survivor of the Springville massacre, and Mary Jane meets the Gwen Stacy clone, who's take up with Peter. Spidercide joins the fight against Kaine and the Scarlet Spider, and in the heat of battle kills Kaine. With Kaine gone, the Springville survivor breaks free, and the Jackal turns the many Spider-clones into a mindless bio-mass that attacks the Scarlet Spider.
