The Spacemen
First appearance: Untold Tales of Spider-Man #4

Consisting of the cosmically powered Gantry, Orbit, Satellite and Vacuum, the Spacemen burst on the scene early into Spider-Man career and were determined to bring the webhead to justice. Praised by J. Jonah Jameson and the citizens of new York for their attempts to stop the fiendish Spider-Man, the Spacemen revealed that like the Fantastic Four, they too were astronauts, who went into space in an unshielded craft, and were bombarded by cosmic rays. New York quickly took to the Spacemen and even held a parade in their honor, until Spider-Man arrived to reveal the truth about the Spacemen. After a fierce battle that almost spelled out the end for Spidey, the Spacemen were proven to have been the actual criminals of acts for which they blamed Spider-Man, and they were apprehended. Jameson's son John, a colonel in NASA also discovered that the Spacemen weren't astronauts, but merely disgruntled employees that inhailed fumes from a meteorite that emdowed them with awesome powers.

The Spacemen were defeated and taken into police custody. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

Powers and Abilities: Gantry, the leader of the Spacemen had superhuman strength; Vacuum's body became a "negative zone", with an ability to suck matter into his interior void; Orbit could alter the orbital relationship between an object and herself, allowing her to fly or put matter into orbit around her; Satellite shoots energy bursts from his hands.
