Typeface
A war veteran, Gordon Thomas was marked as a child killer when he returned home following the war, and as a result his wife and child left him alone and loveless. Gordon resided in a lonely job as a sign maker until he was fired, an act which sent him over the edge. Gordon, who began calling himself Typeface, donned a suit covered with letters and went on a rampage to get revenge on his employer, with an 'R' mark on his head for retribution.
Typeface went on a brief rampage, running into Spider-Man, to whom Gordon warned of his upcoming attack. Spidey had his hands full with an alien spider hybrid monster though (don't ask), but luckily Typeface offered a hand when he remembered the final words of a dying wartime friend. "Just Live". Gordon regained his senses an became an ally of Spidey, though his return to sanity appears to have been short-lived, since his old boss detonated Typeface's bomb, and Typeface appears to have been caught in the blast. Whether or not Typeface survived is presently unknown.
Powers and Abilities: Typeface had an arsenal of letter-weapons at his disposal, and having served in the military, as knowledge of artilary. this page is best viewed at 800x600, so you can see everything. |
