Pure Hearts?
A phone rang in the Witches 5 research lab.
“Hello?”
“Hello Eugeal, this is Dr. Tomoe again.”
“Why hello doctor!”
“Have you located another crystal carrier yet?”
“You’re in luck. I do have a possible carrier that I just found.” Eugeal pressed some keys on her keyboard and soon, a picture of a girl appeared on the computer screen. Eugeal pushed her glasses back onto the top of her nose.
“The subject is a fourteen-year-old girl. Her name’s Kristen Callten and by my research, she HAS to have a pure heart crystal.”
“If you’re sure this time. I’ll prepare a heart snatcher for you.” Back in Dr. Tomoe’s lab, a white box closed sealing up a camera. Pink tubes of liquid went by and one slipped off and was drained. In a window, you could see fog like material floating by and a white pod rushed by in it. Eugeal stood by her car watching the box being shipped into the trunk of her car. As soon as it was secure, Eugeal got in and speed off.
On the other side of town
14-year-old Kurisutaru a.k.a Kristen, walked along the sidewalk in her school uniform. Her head was aimed at the ground and she sighed deeply. She brushed back a lock of her long brown hair as she tried to hide her loneliness, but it was evident in her endless brown eyes. It was hard to keep away from the swamping groups of Teenage Wolves fan girls, and most of them knew who she was by now. June (yes, I put June. That’s the way they spell it in the dub) didn’t exactly help either, as she still hadn’t given up at chasing after Matt. But through all that, she still felt lonely, as if a part of her were completely missing. She wasn’t paying attention and banged right into a girl with long blond hair tied into odangoes who was also staring at the ground.
“Huh?” Kristen asked, looking up to see the girl. She had a black cat on her shoulder that had a crescent-moon mark tipped on it’s side on her forehead. The cat meowed and began to fall off. The girl grabbed the cat.
“Hey, watch where you’re going!” the blond accused of Kristen. Kristen glared but said nothing. She simply continued walking, muttering something about dumb blonds. As soon as Kristen was out of hearing range, Luna spoke up.
“Serena, I felt a strange power coming from that girl!” the cat said as she was placed back on Serena’s shoulder. “I think you should watch out for her, she might be one of the enemies.” Serena tipped her head, smiled, and closed her eyes.
“Oh, Luna, you always think the worst of people! For all we know, it wasn’t anything to worry about,” she replied as she continued walking.
A little while later
Kristen laid face-down on her bed, her left arm slung freely over the side. She sighed deeply. Her younger brother Virgil peeked into the room and noticed Kristen’s sad face.
“What’s the matta, Kristen?” he asked.
“Nothing,” Kristen answered. Virgil shook his head.
“I know that’s a lie,” he answered. “You’re usually bouncing around the house.” Virgil was about to go on when he heard loud snoring. He sweat dropped to see Kristen had fallen asleep. “Oh, well. Maybe she was just tired.”
Kristen’s dream
(Okay, I’m not exactly sure what happened the day Beryl attacked the Moon Kingdom and Serena and the others were sent to live in the future, so I’m just gonna make this up as I go) Kristen stood in front of a magnificent castle, that appeared to have been partly destroyed. She looked behind her to see a beautiful girl wearing a long white dress lined with golden rings at the chest and ball-shaped sleeves with a worried look on her face.
“Kurisutaru, what’s going to happen?” she asked. Kurisutaru? Nobody called her that, even if it was her real first name. Kristen shook her head, out of instinct.
“I don’t know, Princess,” she answered. Princess? Where did that come from? Just as she thought this, four girls in Sailor-style uniforms came flying out of the building and landed on the ground, unconscious. Just then, the six girls began to glow with their own colored light.
“What’s happening?!” Kristen asked. They began flickering in and out, and just as the castle was destroyed, they completely disappeared.
Back in reality
Kristen’s eyes flew open and she sat up, looking around. She must have been asleep for longer than she intended, because it was completely dark out. She began to blink her eyes, focusing them in on her surroundings.
“What…did that dream…mean?” she asked herself. She shook this off and opened the door to her rooms balcony. She walked out onto it and leaned on the railing, scanning the night sky. She stopped as she noticed an extremely bright star. She could’ve sword it was flashing from ruby-red to silver. She blinked and looked at it again, only to see she was right. It was flashing from ruby to silver. Kristen dis-regarded this and stretched.
“Oh, I feel so much better!” she exclaimed, walking out of the balcony. “Maybe I’ll go for a walk.”
Outside, Eugeal’s car skid to a stop, just barely missing a mother and her daughter who were walking on the sidewalk. Eugeal looked out her window to see she had run into a fire hydrant and water was coming from it and onto her front car hood. She scowled and growled (ee, that rhymes!).
“My insurance company will never pay for this (If she even has an insurance company)!” she complained, putting her car in reverse. She put her binoculars to her eyes and looked around until she spotted Kristen. “Gotcha!” she spun her car around and took out her heart-snatching gun. She aimed it at Kristen and yelled ‘capture!’.
“Huh?” Kristen asked as she turned to see the ball of black energy. She dove out of the way and the energy ball landed harmlessly on the apartment building. She began to run, much to Eugeal’s annoyance.
“I hate it when they make it hard for me!” she complained, starting up her car again. The engine sputtered and died.
“Oh, great!” she complained. She got out of the car and shut the door angrily as she headed towards the back of her car. She threw the hood open and looked around. Just as she did this, black smoke came from the engine, and of coarse Eugeal was in the way. She coughed after it stopped.
***
Kristen panted as she continued running, not knowing Eugeal hadn’t even started chasing her. She gasped and fell, face-first, onto the ground. She tried to stop herself from crying, but it was hard. She heard footsteps behind her and she looked up to see Yolei in front of her, her warm red eyes showing her concern for her best friend under those huge glasses of hers.
“Kristen, what’s the matter?” she asked as she kneeled at Kristen’s side. Kristen sat up and held her arm to her chest, trying to keep the tears from coming. Her eyes scanned the sky again for some reason and a star was shooting towards them. It landed almost directly in front of them, but made hardly any sound. Kristen looked over to see Yolei’s eyes glowing and she realized hers were too. A locket appeared in front of each of them and they grabbed them. They looked the same, only Yolei’s was purple and Kristen’s was silver, but they both had ruby-red stars in the middle. Just as the glowing died down, tires were heard screeching and Kristen knew who it was. Before they could do anything, a black energy ball hit Yolei in the back. A crystal appeared in front of her and she collapsed (yeah, I know, this stuff is happening kinda fast but I’m not good at describing, plus it’s really hot right now and my minds more on trying to keep myself cool enough so I don’t overheat). Kristen got up and turned around.
“Great, I missed again!” Eugeal complained. “Oh, well. At least I got one.” Eugeal was about to get the crystal when the Kristen’s locket started glowing.
“The only one that’s entitled to that crystal is Yolei, so keep your hands off, Puff-pants!” Kristen exclaimed. She held up the locket over her head. “Star Cosmic Power!” Silver light exploded and started to float to the ground as stardust. An unseen force blew it back up over Kristen’s head, creating her Sailor Fuku. First appeared a golden tiara with a ruby-red colored stone in the middle, followed by earrings that were shaped like ruby-colored five-pointed stars that were directly attached to her ears. Next came a red choker with a silver star on it, followed by a white body suit with silver bows, one on the front and one on the back. The dust jutted out creating a glittering (think, glitter glue) silver skirt. A silver light shined around Kristen’s neck, creating a glittering silver collar. Kristen held up her hands to the air and wrist-length gloves with silver glove bands appeared on her hands. She lowered her arms and a ruby light jutted out of her fingers and down to her feet, creating strapped pumps. Upon the completion of her transformation, Kristen opened her eyes. “I am Sailor Star, keeper of the Sailor Scout Code of Honor and you are seriously breaking the rules!” a heart snatcher had been released as Kristen transformed and Eugeal had disappeared. Star gasped but held her ground.
“Acam!” the heart snatcher proclaimed. She held up a camera and pressed a button. A clear trail of energy came from it and Star narrowly dodged it. Star just stood there, not knowing what to do until an elegant voice yelled out through the darkness.
“Neptune Deep Submerge!” a blue-colored ball of energy flew forward and exploded upon the heart snatcher. Kristen looked back to see a Sailor Scout in a sea-green uniform. The scout quickly ran forward and grabbed the heart crystal.
“It’s not the one I need!” she exclaimed. She put it back in Yolei and stood up, her glance landing on Sailor Star, but she simply jumped up and disappeared into the night. Star turned and narrowly dodged another blast from Acam. Not knowing what to do, she yelled out words out of instinct.
“Star…” she began. A silver, glowing ball appeared in her hands. “Shimmering…” the ball started shimmering and grow bigger and bigger. “Beam!” it shot out as a beam, and landed on Acam, who was evidently weaker than other Heart Snatchers, as it destroyed her on the spot. As soon as Acam disappeared, Star clutched her locket and de-transformed. She ran over to Yolei and began to shake her. Yolei’s eyes opened and Kristen sighed with relief.
“I’m glad you’re okay,” she told the purple-head. Yolei smiled at her.

Okay, that was kinda rushed, but it’ll hopefully get better in the next chapter.
