Can you begin to imagine how exciting it was knowing that you would soon be inside the Julip outlet in Beauchamp Place? That excitement building as you spotted the litte Julip sign and the cabinet filled with models on the pavement outside?

Down  the stairs and into the little basement shop. The horse and carriage wallpaper barely visible through the many pictures and letters sent in by children and Julip fans pinned to the walls. Up at the basement window in between the caravans and horses you could see the ankles of people hurrying by on the pavement above.

You would gaze at the shelves full of horses taking your time over choosing the right model to come home with you.The lady behind the counter studying you as if she were trying to work out whether you would look after her horse or not.She would open the drawer and you would choose your rider, tack and rugs for your carefully chosen model.Oh can you imagine?

How exciting would that have been?

I never did visit that little Julip shop in Beauchamp Place and feel that I missed out on something almost magical.

In my head I have an image of that little shop through memories of my friends visits which I never tire of hearing.Thank~you to them for taking me to that little shop as I can say now that I have almost been there!

I do think that the Julip outlet in Beauchamp Place was a big part of many peoples Julip history and I think it rightly earns itself a section on this website.

If you have memories of the little shop that was in Beauchamp Place that you would like to share we would love to hear from you!
