Heat damage is one of the worst things that can happen to an original model.Keep models away from direct heat ie a shelf above the radiators or the mantelpiece. Keep them also out of direct sunlight. Extremes of temperature also can affect the latex so if your old Julip is melting or oozing don't put him in the fridge! Like most collectors I keep my Julips in the coolest room in the house all year round.Mine are all rugged and I check them regularly for any oozy sticky places! If you do need to store them away it is preferable to rug the models and stand them in a box and put them in a cool place.NOT the loft! The rug acts as a barrier between models so that they are not touching as they could possibly stick together. If you don't have a rug any sort of soft cloth between models is fine. |
