Riders & Grooms.

Since Julip began there have always been Julip staff to look after and ride the many horses.There have been Cowboys and Indians,Gypsies and Event riders.The child riders too or size 2 as they were known in the 1970s.The old original riders are very sadly missed by everyone.It would be wonderful at some point to see these lovely characters make a return to the Julip Stable.

A lovely collection of vintage Julip 'staff' ranging from the farrier to the Huntsmen in their scarlet coats. This collection belongs to Pam.

These five pictures are of my own collection of vintage riders. These range from a 1950s gypsy and groom to the 1980s show~jumper and 'mum' figures.

There is also the elegant side~saddle lady in her black habit and veil. Bottom left is a picture of child riders from the 1950s, the one in the green jacket is a 1980s rider.
