Hi I’m Johnno (real name John). I live in Cherry Willingham which is near Lincoln (England).  I first heard of Runrig from a friend who kept on about them. Eventually I “invested” 50p at the library to listen to “Searchlight” for a week. Well that was the best 50p I have ever invested. It completely changed my life. Runrig are so good – I wish I had listened sooner as I missed the Donnie (who? -  hehehe) farewell concert.   Anyway along came Bruce to save the day and we (myself and wife Pat) saw them at Sheffield on Bruce’s first tour.  We have seen them a few times since. The Yok chatroom get-together was fantastic as  it was the first chance to meet people whom I had been talking to for so long. Stirling was really great as I got to meet even more chatroomers as well as going to a really fantastic concert.   My biggest thought on Runrig – having bought all their albums is that although they have their own “sound”, every song is completely different to every other one so there is little chance of getting fedup with playing them all the time (although Pat may disagree from time to time).  I am currently fulfilling a teenage dream I think!!   – that is to learn the guitar and with the help of  the RR Songbook, I can now play some Runrig tunes – just learning “Dust” at the mo. Look out God – erm Malcolm – (I got no chance!!!).  I was lucky enough to meet the band backstage at Sheffield and what a smashing set of guys they are.  It was a great concert as well!!  I’d best talk about the chatroom as well – if you want a good chat – sometimes even about a certain Scottish band – it is a good place to go and you will be looked after. Although there are problems from time to time – like in any relationship involving people lol – there is rarely any bad feeling and is usually a time for lunacy when everyone is on song. I miss the ones that have left and await their return some day.  Btw for some reason best known to others, I am affectionately known as the “Chatroom Tart” and have a wicked hug – watch yer ribs.   Well that’s me – look forward to meeting old and new friends at future Runrig concerts - ciaou.
Hi, I'm Colin, been a fan for over 20 years, have seen them lots of times, my two boys Calum & Conor came with me to see them at Stirling on the 30th and are huge fans!  More recently I've been to Stornoway to Hebfest - they were brilliant and I got to meet them backstage - awesome and it was a truly humbling moment.  If you see me at a gig I'm usually the one in the kilt, smiling and having the best of times with friends I've met through the Fanclub, MB and Rosey.  I'm off to live in Italy for a wee while so I expect I'll be making it to the gigs in Europe for the next few years!!!
