Ok, here goes - I'm Lisa and I live in Essex but I'm originally from Germany. Please don't be scared by the photo - I cheated, the black belt is my daughter's really. I am hoping to pass my dan grade in the not to distant future. I first heard of Runrig in 1988 on BFBS radio but it took me 11 years to really get into them - I hang my head in shame! I am now well and truly hooked! The best day of my life was the 23/08/03 - Stirling. The whole day was just so perfect, from the anticipation building up to meeting a lot of chatroomers and then - seeing RUNRIG. Just out of this world. My fave cd hs to be Recovery but I love them all. It would be too hard to pick any particular songs but I generally favour the gaelic ones. I am trying hard to learn this beautiful language but making a mess of it!!!!

Hi I am Tiz, I came to hear of Runrig whilst fulfilling one of my many passions walking the mountains of Scotland England and Wales. It was on a mad two day trip from Bristol to Fort William to walk Ben Nevis . It was a weekend to change my life in many ways. As we passed under the majesty of Glen Coes hills "Skye" was put on the cassete recorder and I was visually and audibly stunned. We walked The Ben and on returning to Fort William I purchased Long Distance. It has taken me on some journey, I have many scottish hills under my belt now and all of the cds Runrig have ever done . My love for their music and the incredible lyrics of the MacDonald brothers is hard to put into words and coupled with the hills I beleive I have a charmed life. I have also fallen in love with Capercaillie and Wolfstone. I also beleive I have been priviledged to meet some fantastic people in the chatroom and at Runrigs gigs. Tha mi gle math |

I’m Janni, also known as Slèite. I’m 24 years old and I live in Germany but I travel to Scotland whenever I can to climb munros and meet friends. I’ve been a Runrig fan for 10 years and was hooked from the first sound I heard. When I stayed in Scotland as an assistant teacher, I met my best friend who is addicted now as well. I couldn’t pinpoint one favourite song; at the moment I’m mad about the Proterra album and before I knew that, my favourites were An Sabhal aig Neill, Canada, Big Sky and many more. I generally prefer the Gaelic ones, which inspired me, many years ago, to learn Gaelic. |

"Hi, I'm Losgann, 21 and French (unfortunately). I'm a 'young' Runrig fan, I know them only since 6 months ;) My favorite member is Bruce Guthro, my favorite CD is Live at Celtic Connections and my favorite song... well I can't decide :) there are too many !! I'm also totally crazy about Scotland, want to go and live there !!" |

My name is Ralf, Im 45 years old/young, live in germany near Bielefeld in Borgholzhausen..Last year I heard a song on BFBS R1 that met my heart, so I called BFBS in Herford. There I heard, that they can´t help me about the title, because the broadcasting came from London. So I had to call London. I did, and so I got the answer: Loch Lomond from Runrig. I went out to get every information I could get about Runrig. I heard that they are making music since 30 years! My god, how could I become 45 years old without hearing about them? You see, I call more than 700 LP´s my own (LP=Music carriers from long ago).Since that time, I call myself a Runrig Fan. I never heard music, that touched my heart more then they did! One of the greatest moments in my life ever was the Runrig gig in Dortmund this year. Thank you, boys. |
