Hello! My name is Julia and I´m 17 years old. I was born in Würzburg (Germany) and still live there. I´ve been a Runrig fan for almost 3 years now. The first time I heard of Runrig, was, when a friend of my best friend Carolin returned from Scotland with a CD of a band called "Runrig". He taped some songs for Carolin and she showed this tape to me ;-) The first Runrig song I´ve ever listened to was "Skye" and this song immediately made me a fan. Since that day, Runrig is one of the most important things in my life!

And Runrig has become one of the most important things in my life! Because of Runrig, I´ve started to get interested in Scotland, its culture and the Gaelic language. (Hopefully I can make it to Alba soon)!

Thank you for everything guys! Rock on! Slainte! ;-)
Hi, my name is Lesley, am 45 and Rory's secret lover. Live in South London and try very hard to never miss a uk concert. Family think I am having a mid life crisis but I know different!!!
Hello there every-one!! My name is Jennie Strutt I am 27 years old and I come from a wee crofting/fishing village in the North-west highlands known as Gairloch. I have been a "Riggie" since I was about 14yrs old when my sister Sarah bless her introduced me to them the frst Album I heard of theirs was "Cutter" and every time I hear the song "The Cutter" I feel like a 14 year old again.! " I first went to see them in Edinburgh at the Festival Theatre in '96 since I have been to see them in Stirling (Donnie's farewell.) Edinburgh, Inverness LOTS of times!!!! Skye Portree (The best one so far cos it was "Their Stamping Ground!!) (Apart from the fact I was pregnant at the time and "FAINTED!!" ) Last concert was at Stirling 30th Anniversary bash which was brilliant cos all of them were there all 8!!! Next concert will be Edinburgh Usher Hall and will be a big Party in memory of my dear sister who if not for her I would of missed out on a musical journey that has effected me, my friends and my two children Calum 5 and Sorley 3 (who even have their names given to them cos of Runrig!!). See you there fellow Riggies. OH!! by the why my Fave Riggie Lad is Malcolm as he is supa cool, sweet and the most talented musician I have every heard!!!

My name is Jane aka Highland Connection (35) pictured on left in blue Scotland shirt.  I was born in Dingwall in the Highlands and I love it up there.  My introduction to Runrig's music came a bit later.  After watching video of City of Lights came to appreciate their songs more because it explained the songs and the scenery in the video was fantastic.  I became a true Riggie when I met Jennie who was a total Riggie.  We went to the concert in the Festival Theatre thanks to her sister Sarah.  It was great and we have been to several since then, as she has mentioned.  Skye was quite a memorable trip. I am so glad Jennie asked me to go to the Stirling Anniversary Concert in August with her and Sarah as we had a great time from start to finish and a wonderful memory of our time with Sarah before she passed  away!  Runrig are truly inspirational and I am so grateful to them for coming together in the first place and for still being here today.   I love so many of the songs it's hard to think of a favourite.  I love the new album Proterra because the lyrics are so deep.  Gabriel's sword means a lot to me in relation to Sarah and I love the song Proterra because I can imagine walking along that shore and climbing that mountainside as if I was there myself.

I never thought I would go in a chatroom ever so took a leap of faith and leapt into the Runrig one recently and I have never looked back.  I feel safe there and have met so many wonderful fellow Riggies with so much to share.  We can just be ourselves and know we will be accepted which is great.  It's wonderful that this site has been set up by yourself Rosey so we can get to know each other more, put faces to names and hopefully meet up at future concerts.
