Hi folks, I'm Robin Elliot, (Rab) born in Edinburgh on 25th October 1970, live and work in the Scottish Borders, and share my home with Bonnie, my 6 year old black and white cat...."Postman Pat, Postman Pat, Postman Pat and his......."  Got into Runrig back in 1987 while in my last year at school, when The Cutter was released, first song I heard was Our Earth Was Once Green, and I was hooked. Still have the Mod For Rockers programme on VHS tape from that time. First Runrig gig was at the Edinburgh Playhouse on 10th December 1988, but didn't see them in concert again until the Barrowlands in December 1996.  Have since been to Donnie's farewell gigs (the Friday night) at Stirling, Hawick in December 2000, the first Celtic Connections gig in January 2000, Barrowlands in December 2002, and the 30th anniversary concert. Have met the band a few times at album signings in 1990 and 1993, and also met Iain and Pete on the Highlands tour of 1991, and Rory, Calum, Malcolm and Donnie at the Skye Highland Games this year. Even once saw Malcolm in Tesco's in Oban a few years ago.  Fave Runrig album: Heartland.  Fave Runrig song: Siol Ghoraidh or Fichead Bliadhna.  Best Runrig gig: Hawick Town Hall, December 2000 (the wee ones are the best).  Vinyl collection of nearly 1000 albums, including  an original copy of "Play Gaelic", plus original copies of all the Ridge Records albums, a copy of the "Loch Lomond" single released on Ridge in 1982, plus a signed copy of "The Work Song" 7" single.  CD collection is about 900, and growing......  I think that'll do, oh one more thing.....I'm a member of the SFA Travel Club (The Tartan Army), and follow the Scotland football team all over Europe, in the last year I've been to Iceland, Lithuania, and Germany, and we're off to Holland next month.  There, 'nuff said!!
Well, I am Martina Kohlsaat, former married as Martina Bedregal Calderon, now 40 years old, born  on 26th of July in 1963. I live with my son in Germany, near Kassel. We lived in Peru before that and thanks to you and Loth and many many other great Riggies we made it finally out of Peru and back to a normal life.  My hobbies are: walking and playing with my son and my friends, gardening, painting, story- and songwriting, reading, and of course the internet and "Runrig". Beside Runrig I like irish and scottish music and any good old rock or pop like Pink Floyd, Carlos Santana, Abba, U2 and many others. As well as I love to listen to music I love playing the guitar and singing...  My wish for the future: peace worldwide, a calm little life, meeting Rosey and all the other Riggie friends again and always enough chocolates at home..lol
My name is Andrew and I come from good old Sussex by the Sea. I've been a fan of Runrigs for over 12 years now, converting others along the way. London this year will be my 25th gig, and what a venue to celebrate in !!! One of the better venues I've been to along with Cambridge Corn Exchange and ,of coarse Stirling Castle. Fave albums? Pick any one of Heartland, The Cutter, Big Wheel or Stamping Ground, I love them all. The young lady in the pic is my aunt Julie, a converted former David Essex fan (it IS curable), who also finds the need to travel around the UK after Scottish rock groups! The photo, taken by my mum Pam, on 23rd August in Largs, I cant think why we were in Scotland that day!! Another GREAT Runrig occasion and what a difference to the '97 gigs when you wondered if they would ever be back playing anywhere, let alone at the castle. Hope to see lots of you in London in november. Take care Andrew
Hiya my name is Becky also know as Madriggie, I'm 21 years old and married to Martin. We have two kids called Ewan and Callum, Ewan is two and Callum is 3 months old.  My whole life as is stands now is because of Runrig. I actually met Martin through some one in the chat room, he had a spare concert ticket to one of the first Bruce concerts and needed some one to go with and there I was! That was 5 years ago and we couldn't be happier!  My family "discovered" Runrig in 1988 when they where supporting  Chris De Burgh at the G Mex in Manchester (Martin saw them on the same tour but in Birmingham) and we have never looked back, they play a big part in my musical taste and  I don't think I'd be the person I am today if it wasn't for them!
