About

This page is a resource for writers to help each other, as well as themselves. I myself am an as yet unpublished writer, are as many of my friends and coworkers. While writing, many of my problems, blocks, and simply bad ideas have been helped by the ideas, feedback, and courteous ridicule of my peers. And I, in return, helped them. This is the premise of the Leaking Pen, a place for writers to critique each others work, to help each other in the never ending struggle to get just the right word.

One of the tasks facing the writer today is being published. This is a major concern of this web site, and will be addressed through essays, discussion groups, and news items. In addition, the creators of this web site are seriously considering becoming online publishers, and perhaps eventually print publishers as well.

This web site was started for the benefit of our friends. We wanted to create a centralized place where they could come to in order to discuss writing. Since we are on the Web for the world to see, we would be more than happy to have others come and join our little community.

There are many online writing workshops on the Web today and most of them want money. We're just a group of fans of the written word who wanted a place to call our own who are not looking to making money off of this.

Most of our articles and discussions will be written by you and others who come to this site. Our idea is to have people contribute their experiences and ideas and share them with the community at large. What ever you want to write about, whether it be from discussing proper grammar and sentence structure or to your own experiences in trying to get published, here will be a place to put those up for others to read and comment to. Of course, you can also put up your stories if you like.

There is not much here right now, but with your help there soon will be.
