Did you know you could recycle...

CDs: While you generally can't recycle by curbside, there are some special programs to recycle CDs, DVDs, and their cases. You can also reuse your CD by:
•using them in craft projects such as drink coasters, bird chasers, and reflectors
•using DVDs instead of CDs for data storage - DVDs hold more information
•Programs like Green Disk will accept CDs, DVDs, and other forms of electronic media for recycling for a small fee of $0.10 per lb. with a $5.00 minimum charge.
Lacerta and DuPont have also collaborated to form a method of digital data disposal. In 1997 the two companies entered into an effort to recover such chemicals as PET, chromium dioxide and iron oxide used in various tape applications by using a process that separates magnetic coatings from the polyester base film.
•Don't throw away your old cell phone, provided it still works. You can donate it to a battered woman's shelter, because the phone will still be able to call 911 even if it can't make other calls.
•If it needs to be recycled, Earthshare can recycle your old phone, pager, or PDA through its partnership with the Collective Good Mobile Phone Recyling Program.
