Opened
in 1869, the East London Line is 5 miles long a serves nine stations
between Whitechapel (or Shoreditch in peak times and on Sunday
Mornings) and New Cross or New Cross Gate. A journey from end
to end on the line takes no more than seven and a half
minutes. The line also runs through Brunel's 'Thames Tunnel',
the first of it's kind under the River Thames. The East London
Line shares it's 'A' stock trains with the Metropolitan line, and
these are transferred on to and off of the line by a junction just
outside Whitechapel. Aside from this one junction, the line is
totally independent of all other routes.

Review: This route is so
amazing that it successfully brought down the London Tube when it
used to be hosted here. Thousands of you downloaded it when it
was first released, and today the route is still enjoyed by
many. The route was also one of the first to use curved track
sections (not shown in screenshot).
