1. To join the Medieval World,
all loyalties must be to this family and this family alone (special
exeptions made by the Lady of the Lake). You are
not allowed to belong to any other family. 2. Approval must be given by
the Lady of the Lake upon request to adopt or wed. 3.
Magic is to be used only by those given specific permission by the high
council. 4. Keep personal rivalries out of the Medieval World 5.
Fighting is strongly discouraged within the Medieval World. Avoid
fighting whenever you can. Do not provoke aggressive
situations. Members are expected to show responsibility and self
control. 6. If you invite a friend to the Medieval World, you are
responsible for their actions. You are expected to let them know
what our family is about and make sure they know the rules as a visitor to
our home. 7. We like to remain as realistic as possible, do not add
unnatural characteristics to your character, please follow the
ways of medieval
life. 8. If there is a problem
that concerns a member's assessment, membership, the welfare of the
family, or the harmony within the Medieval World that cannot be dealt with
by the sentinel(s) alone or there is no sentinel ranked, do NOT hesitate
to speak to the high council. If the sentry feels a situation is
above their abilities or warrents higher authority, they should know to
seek council as needed before taking action.
Room Rules:
1. No idling. If you are away please
flip your av, add scanlines ect. or put on a brb avatar. Just as a
warning, if you are caught "sleeping", you may be ambushed by a
member. So be alert! ;) 2. No sex or perving while within the
Medieval World. Keep this in ims. 3. Swearing is allowed but do
not be profane or excessive. 4. No multi-charactering in the Medieval
World. One character is enough for anyone to play properly. 5.
Any arguments bring to im's.
Fair warning will be given if rules
are not followed. If after warning there is no change, the result
will be banishment. Overall, please be respectful within our home and have
fun!
Visitors All are welcome to the Medieval
World.
Visitors are welcomed to visit the Medieval World, so long
as they understand the medieval times or at least make an effort and
remain peacefull. As we are a family, we will react accordingly to protect
each other. Please remember that we are a peaceful family and do
not welcome fighting. Those who come into our
home to roleplay an attack, choose elsewhere.
Assessments:
Assessment in Waiting: This is the time where a pledge gets to know
the members of the Medieval World, learn the ways of the medieval times,
and become familiar with The Medieval World. Pledges should become
regulars of the Medieval World during this time. Much patience and
understanding is needed in learning what The Medieval World is all
about. Assessments in Waiting do not attend family meetings.
This waiting period can last from weeks to months. It all depends on
the actions of each individual pledge, for pledges are not grouped into
time periods. The Gods and Goddess' decide who are ready to advance
and when.
Full
Assessments: Once it is shown
that the assessment in waiting is serious in wishing to join, and
understands the rules, they are advanced to full assessment status.
These pledges are expected to show knowledge of the way of the medieval
times, as well as the way of the Medieval World. The family will
evaluate the pledge during this time and watch how well they greet
visitors and interact within the Medieval World. Full assessments do
attend family meetings. The Gods and Goddess' choose when the
assessment period is over. Be aware not all assessments will be
accepted.
Departing The
Medieval World:
Probation for Assessment (Full and
Waiting): If on any occation
an assessment is dropped or removed from status for any reason and at one
point or another wishes to return as assessment, the high council will
give a probation period of unmarked time in which they will watch and
re-evaluate the wolf then decide whether or not to re-enstate their
assessmentship. This can only happen ONE time. If they are
dropped or removed a second time, they may not join the
family.
As
Member: If specific conditions
are met, a former member may be approved for re-evaluation to rejoin the
Medieval World. If one departs for a second time, they may not ever
become a member again under any nick at anytime. Pledges are not
always accepted back into the family. Only one chance will be given
if approved for a re-evaluation period. See re-evaluation
section.
Re-Evaluation:
Former Members may be eligible for re-evaluation
if: 1. Three months have
passed since their initial departure 2. High Council's permission is
granted for re-evaluation 3. Council with the former member is given by
the High King and the Lady of the Lake prior to begining re-evaluation
period
In Order to Re-Join
the Family: All members must
accept the re-evaluated pledge into the family. The rank of serf
will be given to the re-evaluated pledge upon acceptance. This rank
will not be permanent.
Rejection: If the former Member was requested to leave
the pack by the high council, or left the family under disrespectful
circumstances, they may not be eligible for
re-evaluation.
Inactivity: Inactivity is defined as absence from the
Medieval World for two weeks or more without the high council aware of the
situation.
Family Members
and Full Assessments will be
placed as "inactive" until regularly visiting the Medieval World
again. When the high council are aware, family members and full
assessments will be given "leave of absence" for the time they are
away. If you need a "leave of absence", tell us. You can tell
us that it's a personal reason and that's fine, just let us know you're
going to be away. That's all we ask. If away for an
unexplained period of over two months, full assessments will be removed
and placed back into assessment in waiting status.
Assessments in Waiting will be dropped of their status. Upon their
return if they wish to still join the family, they may be renamed
"assessment in waiting" when the become regular visitors of the Medieval
World again.
Lost
Members: If a member is away
for more than three months without any contact with the family, they will
be placed as a "lost member". Lost members are extreme cases of
absence. Upon return of the lost member, those under "leave of
absence" (meaning the high council was aware of their absence) will be
welcomed back as full member and those under "inactive" status (meaning
the high council was not aware they were going to be absent this long)
will need a valid explanation of their absence to return as full
member.
Merging with
Another Site:
Merging
is a special condition where two sites unite in the hopes to become
stronger together and bring further bonds into the site. The
Medieval World has special conditions upon agreeing to merge with another
site. The site requesting to merge must agree for the Medieval World
to remain as is including name, members status, rules, and functioning of
the Medieval World. The members of the merging site will be advanced
to full assessments status upon acceptance of the merger, with the
assessment in waiting period waved. Agreement and much thought goes
into merging with another site.
Courting, Weddings and
Adopting:
Wedding is
not the most important part of a person's life, though when discussed it
is taken with most seriousness because in medieval times, the exchange of
property, titles, status ect. are involved and it is a huge decision with
the Medieval World. Keep in mind, having a mate should not be a
priority of The Medieval World Roleplay and many see it as just
that. You must have patience and understanding to be able to seek
out the right mate for you and it may take much time and
experience.
Adopting: Remember that this is an adult site and
therefore children are not permitted
here
Weather:
The weather, such as wind and
precipitation, is managed by the Gods.
Members are expected
to show good judgement in all situations
