Looks like i realy messed up this time.

On christmas day i took a real bad slip on the stairs at my apartment.
My feet slipped but the my left foot gripped too good.
So basicly my body twisted around till the bones in my lower leg snapped.
So what i ended up with is a spiral break, or also known as a green stick break.

I am doing ok right now. not too much pain.
For those that are curious here are my x-rays.

The tibia (large bone in lower leg) broke right above the ankle. As you can see it is a long break
The fibula (smaller bone) broke just below the knee and is a realy long break.
They did surgery and inserted a surgical steel rod and used screws to hold it in. They had to drill from the top of the bone to the bottom through the marrow. The two screws are right at the top of the ankle and on the bottom side of the break
As you can see the top of the rod is right at the knee. And the third screw is at the top. I can actualy feel the head of the screw. Time to set off metel detectors. LOL
This is where they cut in and did the drilling and such. the little scar off to the side is where the screw goes in. Down by the ankle there are two more little scars from the other screws.
What a cute boot i have on. The blue button on it is to put air in it for greater suport.
What a hansom devil i am
I had to have surgery to repair the bone. The surgen had to cut open the knee and dislocate it. Then drilled a hole down through the marrow. He then inserted a long steel rod down the inside of the bone and ran 3 screws through the bone and rod to hold it together again. One above and one below the break and one just below the knee. So now i have to deal with not only amessed up leg but a messed up knee as well. On my next visit i'm going to see about getting a copy of the new x-ray that shows all the metal in there, it realy is cool looking in a very cruel way.LOL
