Che Guevera was born in 1928 in Rosario, Argentina. He trained as a doctor and after witnessing the suffering of the locale at the hands of globalisation, moved north, joining Fidel Castro in his cause...to invade Cuba. Che fought for two years alongside Castro and took ministerial positions in the new government. He disagreed with the influence that the USSR was exerting over Castro and left Cuba to further the cause of socialism with his own unique guerilla fighting techniques. He died at the hands of the Bolivian army in October 1967, strung up by the CIA. His last words: "Shoot. What are you afraid of? You will kill only a man!" |
