A Word About The Group, From An Insider
Now, you've heard from the Group from all the others. You've seen the pictures, read the biographies, perhaps you've even met a few of us.
These second hand sources are nothing but small insights into the way the Order functions. Take it from me, these people are not what they seem from the outside. Well, I lie, many of them look like what you'd expect them to be. But don't get me wrong, it's still interesting hearing about them.
I honnestly don't know where to start, perhaps, the forming of the Order. I was a very uncertain entrant, all questions of attendance directed to me were met with diversity. In the very end, I did join, and am glad to have done so, the event I attended was one of the most rewarding of my life, to date.
The others were sure about their entrance, people like Neil and Pip were prevented from going due to work commitments. Our Warmaster, Daniel, managed to wrestle time from his employers, whilst people like our Leader, Luke, just left.
A few of the members, myself included, were happily embraced in the bliss of the school summer holidays. And therefore, attended without such problems.
Most of the Order pre-ordered their latex weaponry before the great event. I was one of those that didn't, due to money problems, and my purchase was upon the arrival of the Gathering.
Although, pre-ordering was a great reward, the added merit of pre-event training was a hand. The only training I got was with broom handles and a latex knife. Which, let's face it, isn't much of a practice at all. This should be the point where I say how I still managed to get by. Gods, I didn't have a clue what I was doing!
I scored a total of zero kills at that event, with a grand total of two wounds scored to my enemies. Pitiful. - Chris (Falrik The Herald)
