This sucks.
That you
have never known
the ache I know
of waiting for love
without results.

You can have anyone

Yes, even him
because your hair
is blonder
your eyes
are bluer
your laugh
is louder.

You have the ability
to break hearts
when I can do nothing
but get my heart
broken.

You know
I just realized something.
It hurts like hell
when the only compliment
he�ll give me
is the perverse statement
That
I look like you.

It hurts like hell
when they call
Your name
as they follow me
down the hall�
and the disappointment
in their eyes
when I turn around
and it�s just me,
a  pathetic imitation
of the real thing.

Or when I look in the
Mirror
and see
Your face staring back
but
lacking the perfection.

You know
I just realized something.
I�m lucky.
That my strength
doesn�t lie
in something so fragile�
Something that can
be destroyed
by scars and blemishes
or just
the passing of time.

I�m lucky
that when you
fade
I have something
that will allow
Me
to continue
Shining.
